Something is different here... Oh! Right, welcome to the new Subeta! We have worked very hard over the past few months to create a new layout that is easier for everyone to browse.
Here are some of the biggest changes that we've made with the new layout:
- The layout is now fluid in width, which means that it will resize itself depending on the size of your browser window. This lets us make things around the site fit the entire screen, and not feel so cramped.
- Widgets! These are the boxes on the left side of your screen. You can change the ones that are shown here. There are some really cool ones like showing your friend feed, the amount of quests you've done for the day, and more! They can also be dragged and moved around the sidebar, or hidden.
- Dashboard / Events: The dashboard is where the widgets live, and the events pane is where your events will live! You can change your preferences here, to how you would like the dashboard to act. We suggest setting it to smart so that you are notified when you have new events!
- Dropdowns, which means that we don't have to use up the entire sidebar for the navigation. We've reorginized the links to make a little more sense, and allow you to move around the site easier.
You may have noticed that your CustomCSS and your Pet Profiles have been cleared. They generally aren't compatible with the new layout, but we did save your coding and you can find it here! Feel free to copy it and paste it back into your CustomCSS/Pet Profiles, just be warned that everything might not work the same!
You can leave your feedback for the new layout here. We will be making changes to the new layout as we see problems (or things that should be changed).
Thank you for sticking with us and remaining loyal to Subeta, we really appreciate it and have worked really hard to make this layout as easy to use as we could. If you have any problems, please report them here, so that we can fix them quickly.

I would like to move my sidebar from the left to the right. I would also like to be able to disable the top banner and buttons. I use the sidebar navigation widget so them being up there to is too much, nice layout. Thanks.
I find this new layout to be both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly after only a couple of minutes of playing around with it and the things it could do. Very spiffy job.

It might be your comp, or browser. I've tried with mine (running Firefox) and everything is in it's right place, just slid over to a smaller width. Someone else might have that problem, tho...

I'm also worried about the news tab. On the old layout you would see dotted lines around the news... now we have to check often to see if there's a token shop update or a free gift, etc. No more notifications. That part I will miss dearly.

So I guess Subeta is following in Neopets' footsteps by making an annoying layout that is inconvenient to use. What on earth is wrong with sidebars? They're so nice and easy. Now everything has to be these stupid drop down menus. So ugly and annoying to use.

I don't know if I can get used to this. Thank God I have all my bookmarks. It's pretty, but when I have the bookmark tab open, it pushes everything together and things start overlapping. I don't know if it's my computer or an issue.

This is what I'm concerned about as well. Being alerted to new News is the most important feature on the site and it doesn't look like that's happening now.

excellent job artistically, but this is not an easy interface. i'm not sure i'll be coming back much often unless we're allowed to choose the old layout rather than having this one shoved in our faces without a choice. but again, big round of applause for the artists!
At first I didn't really like it, due to the screen-stretching feature. (I have a very large computer screen, so it looks horrible on my computer)
But then I toyed around with the sidebar. I love the 'navigation' and 'quest' widgets. Very helpful!

I like the layout....
But I'm none to happy about my pet profiles being messed with, or my pet lookups :/
But like I said, I like the new layout though it's a bit confusing...
And going to take awhile to get used to.
Oh well...back to fixing all 12 of my pets x_x

Holy- I logged in and went WHAAAAT HAPPENED...WHERES THE NEWS... then I found it... and now i'm glad... It's so different, and will take getting used to...but I love it~~~
Wow! What a change! Looks fantastic though. So organized and professional! I think this will be much better to use.
Everything is taking forever to load for me - my internet isn't that fast. Otherwise, it's fine. Not totally hideous like certain other sites' random overhauls.
I'm irritated about losing my pet's profiles, though. They weren't elaborate or anything, but I had their personalities and stuff up there, and I was happy with how they were written.

It looks fantastic! It'll probably take a bit to get used to still, though, but it looks wonderful. ;P

Like all new things I am sure this will take a little getting used to. Unlike when Neo changed things around, I don't feel like I am having to search to find everything. It is all pretty straight forward and easy to figure out. Playing with the widgets will probably be the thing that takes the most time. I am sure people with custom CSS are a little peeved at having to rework it, but once that is figured out and CSS is updated it will be like having everything back to normal. I personally love the way the site looks. It is clean and clear aside from the widgets and I am sure once I hide everything and add it all back one at a time, I will get it the way I want it. Thank you so much for your hard work and all the effort that went in to this. There will always be those who are unsatisfied no matter what you do. The one wonderful thing that Subeta has that no one else does, you all listen to feedback. Time and time again I have seen things change due to user feedback. You always strive to make this place updated, but still what we, the players, want. That is why I love being a member here. This was like a DAMN big surprise. It looks very very nice! I miss the subeta-blue a bit, but all in all it looks so clean and well chosen. Great work!

O.O for a sec i thought i was on a different site lol i really like how the new layout looks. of course it's going to take some time to get used to but it looks much better :3
While it really is more organized, it's...kind of harder to use for me. Drop down menus take forever to load up on my computers, and it's a real put off for me and one of the minor reasons I quit neopets.
It's not bad, but it's not excellent either. I'll get used to it, I suppose.
