Something is different here... Oh! Right, welcome to the new Subeta! We have worked very hard over the past few months to create a new layout that is easier for everyone to browse.
Here are some of the biggest changes that we've made with the new layout:
- The layout is now fluid in width, which means that it will resize itself depending on the size of your browser window. This lets us make things around the site fit the entire screen, and not feel so cramped.
- Widgets! These are the boxes on the left side of your screen. You can change the ones that are shown here. There are some really cool ones like showing your friend feed, the amount of quests you've done for the day, and more! They can also be dragged and moved around the sidebar, or hidden.
- Dashboard / Events: The dashboard is where the widgets live, and the events pane is where your events will live! You can change your preferences here, to how you would like the dashboard to act. We suggest setting it to smart so that you are notified when you have new events!
- Dropdowns, which means that we don't have to use up the entire sidebar for the navigation. We've reorginized the links to make a little more sense, and allow you to move around the site easier.
You may have noticed that your CustomCSS and your Pet Profiles have been cleared. They generally aren't compatible with the new layout, but we did save your coding and you can find it here! Feel free to copy it and paste it back into your CustomCSS/Pet Profiles, just be warned that everything might not work the same!
You can leave your feedback for the new layout here. We will be making changes to the new layout as we see problems (or things that should be changed).

Oh got... I was just one hour gone and now everything has changed!

I have never been a fan of change, but I actually like this.
I think the layout is beautiful. Especially Riverside Valley.

Well its not very user friendly on my cell like the old one was. I guess I will have to wait for my internet to get set up to know if I like it or not.

This layout' placement is kind of annoying and really, really slow. Great concept but just impractical for at least a few people. :/
Drop-down menu reminds me of neo, and if there's any one thing I just can't stand about that site... it's the drop-down menu. ._.

I love how the navigation and quests widgets were added. And I love all the layouts <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" />
I suppose it could be great if it actually worked!! Mostly the site has been down for me and when it is up, it's painfully slow....torture!

ok.. i got it.. you have to have pictures on.. i don't use pictures since hughes.net degrades me to slower then dial up after 200 mb in a 24 hour period and i can go through 40mb in one hour with pictures on playing subeta...

i'm thinking flock isn't ready for this .. i can't delete events and i can't change preferences to get my online friends up.. only way to get to my profile is through edit which i don't want to do

I love the new layout, and I especially like the Masquerade version. It's really quite simple to get around with this, and exploring the new functionality is part of the fun.
I'm also having the same problem as WIN I have about 80 events and now no way to kill them off lol..

Oh strike that first statement. I just saw that you can add links to the right. The site's loading slow for me over here. Now can we disable the drop down menus?

I hope we will be able to put links on the right. I hate drop down menus with a passion. When they actually work for me they're always getting in my way.

I'm so incredibly happy with this new layout. I thought it looked fabulous in testing and I'm really excited to use it full time.
I fixed the width of my browser and now things don't squish together.

Been on here for a few years.. So not happy with this will take ages to get used to xD; It's neat looking and all I suppose it just.. Feels sort of like a information site or something of the sort now rather than a 'pet site' lol.

For those who hate the drop down menus, go to Customize the sidebar, there is a navigation widget. that's in the drop down menu under Prefs.
