Subeautique designer Professor New has two new lines available! Are you more of an Antique Rose or Dusty Thistle fan?
Warning: Eddie Bell Kebab, Professor New Overkill, and Rainyday Serenity will be retiring on April 6th!
The Subeautique lines Grimdark Lady, Grimdark Gentleman, and GreaseMonkey Gearwork have returned for 3 months! You have until June 30th to grab the items from these sets before they retire again.

so, i'm wondering if the re-release of the previously retired items, will that be happening with some other older retired sets? I for one, would like to see it happen...Ive missed so many things in my lapses of activity
love the new items and happy for a grimdark return. but i work a ton and there is next to nothing in subq when i click over there these days. it used to be that i could just head over whenever i felt like it and at least something would be in there that i may have never bought before, especially being in my timezone (awake when most users are asleep). nevertheless, thank you @Angst for your tips. makes me feel a little better.
Within one minute of a restock, there is nothing in there. Every. Time.
I kind of wish you'd add more to the stock for the limited lines. I mean, those /never/ deflated to begin with, and with how it's going now, this isn't pleasant >.>

Have to agree on the new restock numbers.. it sucks, I don't mind waiting months till items are no longer sold out before they even really appear but for these limited time items its a real pain in the ass for people who dont have time to sit and watch constantly... 99% of the time I check subeautique it empty

Gosh darn it...there are already too many awesome items to keep up with, and then this happens. OH WELL. Goes to stalk the Subeautique And yay, old items!
Professor New is hands down my favourite designer but I am pretty underwhelmed with the new line, I guess it's just not my style. The Antique Rose line is such a wonderful colour.
I'm very excited for the unretired lines. I am a huge huge fan of the Grimdark Lady Loaded Brush, I use it 95% of the time.

Also just to clarify, I'm not saying WOW THE NEW SYSTEM IS GREAT EVERYONE IS A BABY GROW UP, because it's a total pain to restock if you're not in the habit of doing it. Nobody is excited to circle over the shop like a vulture. I'm just trying to make things less intimidating + mysterious /oAo/
PRAISE THEM. Not crazy about the new lines, actually, but the old lines coming back is fantastic! The Greasemonkey set was just retiring when I joined, I'm so glad to have another chance to restock now I know what I'm doing. :D
For anyone having a hard time catching restocks since things changed, here are some things I do:
1. Keep a tab open with the Subeautique, and refresh every few minutes. Not obsessively, just kind of casually whenever I remember. Maybe every five-ish quests or whatever.
2. Don't get really hellbent on catching one, don't get stressed out, it's way less demanding if you're chill about it.
3. Check out the restock thread (under general discussion) to get a sense of what the pattern is, and maybe when the last one was.
4. I hardly ever restock on days where new retirements have been announced + new items have been released for obvious reasons. On days like this, I just restock if I feel like it and expect to catch zero items. Typically I give it like 3 days.
5. Always keep 200,000+ sp on hand, it sucks if you catch one then can't afford the item :c
6. Keep track of when things are retiring (I just use the retirements ping group) so you don't miss any items you love, but also aren't stuck trying to restock at the same time as everyone else.
7. If you're looking for something specific, know what it looks like. Sounds obvious, but sometimes I don't think about this and miss stuff I like.
ALSO I think the deal with the restocks now is that the frequency is the same as it was before, but the quantity of each item is lower so everything is bought up faster. It's like 1-3 copies of each item per restock now.
A lot of this is common sense stuff, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case it helps anyone who is confused. I'm sure other people have better tips because I'm not the best at this, but I catch restocks pretty regularly while maintaining my sanity + time. Hopefully it's at least a little helpful.
Be patient, stay chill, don't worry too much. If you're diligent, getting cool stuff is totally doable. Good luck everyone!

The thing I don't like about how Subq stocks now is the fact you have to constantly babysit it and hope you catch the restock when you do and hope you click fast enough to get it.

I need many pieces of the new female set. But I do hope the Subeautique returns to normal... gets really annoying when you go to try and restock and the shop is empty for nearly an hour plus.

SBQ isn't too bad to restock from guys! Just make sure to always have a tab or side window open and refresh every 5 minutes or so. Once you see a restock/check a past RS time on the tracking thread, it's easier to guess when another restock is coming :).
I like both lines, the antique rose is more my style, but the colors of dusty thistle are really nice together! Super work!

I don't think I've ever added an entire set of something to my wishlist because I genuinely loved every item and wasn't just collecting for wardrobe. TODAY I DID. Lovely sets, Antique Rose is gorgeous.

Watch me not restock the GreaseMonkey hair again 8D I am quit delighted by the Antique Rose set though. Dusty Thistle also absolutely reminds me of Dandy (and that I have to finish Freakshow still...).
For people who are annoyed with the old lines coming back, just an FYI after they retired them, staff did say that they would be making their way back around the time their perspective holidays come back, so you should have anticipated this.

I got excited until I discovered that the sleeves are just arm-warmers. Why couldn't they have been drawn so we could turn the Decorative Lace into a long sleeved garment if we wanted to? And it would have been nice if the set came with a matching long skirt. :(
LOVE all these new lines and bringing back old ones as well, what a treat! Really dissapointed that SUBQ doesn't restock enough for me to actually get everything I want :/ Love all these wearables!

Yay more cute things I'll never see in the shop. w00t w00t. Just what I wanted. Yeah, that entire rose set made it on my WL, won't use it all together, too monotone for me but the individual pieces are all very gorgeous.
I love the Antique Set, it's good quality and well drawn, like all the old sets used to be.
I do like the the Thistle one as well, there is some good pieces in there, although if I saw someone with this [item-Professor New Dusty Thistle Tonic] haircut outside, I would probably move to the other side of the road because it screams SERIAL KILLER to me.

There are some really great pieces in the new lines and I'm happy the old ones are back but I feel like I probably won't manage to restock any of the pieces I want in just 3 months
If only it wasn't impossible to restock any of the items... I have a zillion invites and it's extremely rare I catch anything I actually want in there ;~;
I like the new lines, it just seems weird to me that you would release them at the end of the masquerade instead of the beginning. Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting the old lines return!! That is amazing!

I love these, they are beautiful, and I'd be excited over the rose one particularly if it was not impossible to get anything at SubQ anymore. As it is, I doubt I will even try. sigh

I guess it's good I'm planning on saving to knock out some of the SubQ section of my wishlist. Beautiful pieces, though the return of Grimdark and Greasymonkey really made my day.

Just as I am sorting my ever-growing impossibly long wishlist....... ...you guys go ahead and set up another awesome Subeautique line. sigh It is really awesome though. Love the color schemes and the fit of the items.
I just keep adding more and more subq items to my wishlist...never actually being able to catch a restock anymore ;u;
