A Spirited Journey - Prizes!
Greetings, friends! I have r-r-returned from the new land, Shengui Guo, and the people seem ver-r-ry nice. They gave me all kinds of gifts for removing the spirit bar-r-rier that kept them hidden, but I don’t feel r-r-r-right keeping all of these things for myself… please, have a look at these and choose some things to take home.
Speaking of lifting spirit ba-r-riers, you did a great job in defeating Kiyo! The people of Shengui Guo told me that she used to be such a benevolent spir-rit, and kind of their p-r-rotector. But she got a little too pr-rotective, cutting them off from the r-rest of the world. They had pleaded with her as the spir-r-its started becoming hungrr-r-rier for r-r-remembrance, and she was so conflicted in what to do that she ended up lashing out at everr-r-yone, both inside Shengui Guo and out. The city lost all of its life and color, and so did its people. That’s what the fear of something bad happening did to her. She ended up becoming the destr-r-ructive force she was so afr-raid of.
Kiyo’s not hur-rt, she can never r-r-really be physically hurt like you or me, but you helped defeat the fear inside of her that had taken over. You may see her, watching over Shengui Guo again. Over time she\'ll r-r-return to the happy self she used to be, the wise people of Shengui Guo assure me. We just need to keep visiting and gr-r-adually the land will return to the prosperous place it once was. Which reminds me, you should go to the Floating Market! It\'s only just being r-r-ebuilt, but it\'s quite the lovely place.

Pretty interesting event, I really enjoyed the mini games. The gravedigger one was my favorite, though I got impatient because the screen wouldn't move fast enough. haha
My only complaint is that I didn't get to participate in the battle challenge at all. I was away from home early Friday morning to late Sunday night so I didn't know about the battles until they were over. :c

I feel kind of bummed about how the battle prizes were rewarded. I battled with four of my pets (2x T10 and 2x T11) against Kiyo since I found that to be more convenient and the difference in damage wasn't that high. I dealt 77k of damage in total, yet I missed out on the 50k prize because the total damage was split among my pets. Instead I got four copies of the first four prizes which does not really compensate for not getting the spirit bells. Had I known beforehand that it works this way I would have battled with only one pet. It just doesn't make much sense to me why we were rewarded for the damage each pet did and not for the total damage. But that's just my opinion. Sucks for me, I guess :( at least I'll know for next time.
Other than that I think that the prizes are really pretty and the art for the boss was incredible! It wasn't the best plot we've had, but I liked it nevertheless, especially how it linked back to the plot last year :)

I just meant to say that if a t4 pet gets this result battling just one wave, a t11 pet shouldn´t have had a problem getting the weapon. I made damage between 380-850 points each hit. A t11 pet should make a LOT more damage (;

On the damage list it says you did 167,230 damage (T4) 636 losses. Are you honestly saying that you got the Ancestral Unrest that way? With that damage? The last person on that list (who got the weapon) did 2,848,212 damage. I did 2,324,687. SO again are you saying you got the freaking Ancestral Unrest with 167,230 damage?
I'm angry about the timezones because they specifically said: "aiming to keep each stage going for several hours to give multiple timezones a chance to participate". I think it's kind of misleading.

Sorry to disenchant you but it was entirely possible to get the weapon by battling during the last wave. I´m from Germany and battled during the last wave (starting at 18.00). My pet was only tier 4 and is (at the moment) first rank in his group. He even left higher tiers behind. And I battled maybe 5/6 hours, not the whole time. The time zones were quiet all right even the first one wich started during the night and was still on till 9.00/10.00 in the morning. The second wave wasn´t a problem either, which started at 23.00. It was a Saturday. You could have stayed awake and sleep on Sunday morning.
The time zones weren´t exactly friendly but no real hindrance either.
To do enough damage to gain the weapon should not have been a problem for a tier 11 pet even if you battled only during the last wave. And the time of the last wave was alright for Europeans.

I would also like to say that I think there needed to be a tiered damage achievement for this kind of thing because no one knows how long to battle for and what the heck they should be aiming for...if I see that there's a tier for a million damage, I'm gonna sit my lazy ass in front of my laptop and battle until I hit it, but if there's nothing given, I'm gonna do what I did and just hit her until I get too bored and leave. I feel like this is how the majority of users act in this situation. It's pretty poopy to find out later that you didn't do enough damage to get the stuff you want, especially if you're right under one of the tiers.
@fotomelon I'm number 75 on the list and I live in the US, actually an hour earlier than Subeta time. I only got 9 losses in on the first wave because I wasn't feeling well.
My total damage was 2,904,983 from 336 losses.
It was possible to make the top 75 and not battle in all three waves. Based in my averages, I added no more than ~77k damage from those 9 battles in the first wave.

I laughed when I saw the Mulan reference. Really pretty wig though ! And that Carved Jade Legeica Statue is amazing.

So excited to get the Humble Wooden Offering Doll. :D What a surprise! If I had known the damage score for creating weapons would be separate from the battling score, I probably wouldn't have bothered with that and would have focused my time 100% on battling. I spent a lot of sP just for the same prizes I got battling.

These prizes are lovely. I like that there was a prize shop but also that we were awarded prizes from the battle portion, because I like both ways. Anyway, thanks for the plot!!
omg i didn't realize some prizes had already appeared at my inventory, so i zapped my pet and one of the prizes turned into a cube facepalm
Thanks for making it a prize shop so we could decide what we want and what we don't want! I do prefer prize shops to getting one of each item dumped into our inventories...

Aww I'm glad Kiyo is okay :) I was hoping she would end up like Tempest and stick around and be happy ♥ Also Connor is such a cutie. (I hope he got one of the Quentin plushies, hehe.)
Now that I found out all I needed to get the awesome weapon was to get a bit more damage in (~700k), I'm kinda pissed. I did 2,324,687 damage. The only item I didn't get was the awesome weapon (that I really wanted). So basically if the first timezone battle would have either started 7 hours sooner or if we were notified of the battle's start. If I wasn't in Europe and lived in the subeta's timezone, I would have had a decent chance at getting the weapon I was really hoping to get. ALL because I missed the first battle with Kiyo. And that's why I'm mad at the planning.

I'm so surprised that I got the Humble Wooden Offering Doll! Pretty proud of myself considering I was writing an annoyingly hard university assignment at the same time as the plot was going on lol. (To be fair, I ended up handing it in 3 days late. But it was worth it... I guess :P)
I did a handful of Kiyo battles (at least like 25k worth of damage... not much but as much as I could do between work) and I didn't get any Kiyo prizes? :(

I keep seeing people wish there was a way to track damage during the boss battle, but would that actually encourage people? I can see a lot of people with lower tiered pets getting discouraged when they see what the T12 and T13 pets are doing.
There's any mode to check all the prizes, even if you don't win all? In case I haven't be able to get some I would like to buy them, but I can't buy if I don¡t know what the prizes are xp
wish the times for battling had been more flexible but i'm glad i got to participate at all. swooped what i could from the prize shop to compensate! yaaaay! gonna go check out the market now~
This was an interesting event, with an interesting and beautiful new land, and I'm glad to say that for once I got all of the achievements. I didn't get all of the tiers on the "BOO it's a ghost!" achievement (64/250), which I would have liked, but that's close enough for me.
