Kitsune Fur Revamps
The Kitsune Furs have been revamped!

I was agreeing with some of you on how the old overlay's better (I thought that even before clicking on this), but then I saw QqQ's comment. I think it might depend on the color? For the pink in particular there is no doubt more of a blend with the new version and it definitely looks updated in comparison. The tails are quite a big improvement even if they could be better. The issue is that the even if the old one's ears are off, so are the new one's. ; v ; To add, at least to me, the hues used for the green look... really off to me? I don't mean to offend, just saying my thoughts on this revamp.

@Phantom. Oh I see what you mean, but I do see a faint outline, it's just ligher. Not sure why a line that would be away from the lightsource would be lighter though...

Templar
@Slowerthanzero No, they definitely seem to be missing some outlines. I think it's the same for all t he furs, now that I look at them. Look at where the tails curl on the ones closest to us. The bottoms of the curls seem to be missing outlines.

I've been hoping that these would get a revamp but... dunno, like others have been saying the new ones still look dated and even more plasticky and fake than the old ones. Was hoping for a realistic look and to keep the tails big enough to blot out the sun.

They're still not that useful. That's not much of a revamp if they're still not in the style most items are. Most items go for a more realistic approach, and this is still very cartoony.

Ah, I like the new ci,but the overlay itself doesn't really seem like an improvement? It's still very cartoony, but lacking the flair and drama of the old overlay. For me the old overlay worked better with the cartoony style because it's OTT, the new one feels a little half-arsed - like it's somewhere between realistic and cartoon and personally it doesn't work for me. I feel like it should either be either or, not both.

hmm while the art itself is a definite improvement, i feel they're still very cartoonish but just...coloured and lined much better? i was sort of hoping when these were revamped they'd receive a more realistic approach but that just boils down to personal taste!

tbh the tails AND the ears still look plasticky...
as old as the art on the old version was, the definition/detail on the tails made them look more like fur and less like a plastic inflatable :x

:/ I mean...it's definitely slightly more realistic looking. But they still aren't up-to-date. They look like old art still. Like, these have the potential to be amazing pieces to have in the wardrobe, but...they just look really fake? Like more than just "subeta style". Like internet art from 2005. The thick lines and stray black lines on the ears have a lot to do with it.

The overlays could've been so much better...they still look ridiculous, if not more so. I'm sorry >.< I hope I don't sound mean. It's just...

Idk.... I like the improvement to a point, but I feel like these are all rushed. Almost as if half arsed to even finish. There isnt as much "spark" to these as there was in the old set.

I think maybe the problem is it not looking the same as before? I get the perspective change and it's good, but something about the old one was "more full" and filling and envolving while the new one is just sitting in the back just eh. Also I feel like the tail curls were bigger than the HA head before and now they're significantly smaller.

…Um. Normally I'm all for revamps, but something went very wrong this time around.
Definitely preferred the old version of these.

Mmmh, I'm not really caring for the loss of contrast and detail. While they were VERY overdue for a revamp, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this on the whole.

! You can't edit these comments?
Oh well~I happened to be wearing the pink one, so here you are for a comparison.

I appreciate the redone perspective, it sits much more naturally now. I have to agree with some people here, though, the shading feels a little flat, especially on the lighter colors. Maybe there's just not enough contrast.

When you do revamps, that's great. Really.
But leave us the option of keeping the old art, please. Please make it transformable.

Same as the others here, I like that the old ones had more flair to them. These feel like they've been reined in to the point that they don't really have much of the character of the old set.

(accidentally submitted the comment before i was done)
i dunno, like... it just doesn't feel like an improvement so much as a different item that has slightly more site-standard lineart. it would have served the overlay better to just redraw the lineart to be thinner and re-do the shading to be less stark.

the old designs were better... and the new art isn't much better? the new art lost all of the stylistic cohesiveness of the old art (no curls on the ears, subdued curls in the tails)

ehhhhh... while the 3/4s view and overall art quality is an improvement, these look less, fluffy / bulky and over the top,
i kinda liked that about the old ones :x

Thick black lineart on their ears aside, is it just me or is the white one missing outlines on the tails?

wow these got expensive fast.... I'm glad I jumped in to grab them to almost complete my set in my wardrobe before the prices just skyrocketed. o.O I'm only missing Green and Pink and I regret not grabbing a green when I saw one at 300k. >.>

holy crap these got a nice facelift!
the darker colours look rly nice, but the lighter ones lose a lilbit of the texture imo, i think that's what might be throwin people for a loop

And now having seen it: The 3/4th view is a definite improvement, and I can see the improvements in the lines/shading, but at the same time it almost made them a little less.. regal? Over the top? And the ears are still holding it back some.

Pretty much exactly what I came here to say/look at the old overlay images and make sure I wasn't imagining XD
Tails are lovely, the ears still look a little plasticky with the thick line :x

I knew these were being revamped soon, I thought I had more of them. ;_;
Any way to see more of these in circulation again?

Hmm, do the wearable overlays seem less detailed than the items to anyone else?
These are lovely nonetheless. The old items were /very/ dated.

...Err, all of the pink ones are gone.
But yeah, I do think the ears are a bit off. I still love these a ton though!

I am loving the item images... But the actual overlay looks really cartoony. Not just the color, but the art itself. :C
