I feel like the ending to this plot/adventure wasn't really very well thought out and was very abrupt. I thought for sure maybe we would explore the volcano or do more digging or other things besides just battling and puzzles and making our way along a trail

I'm really excited that things were left up in the air to leave a few loose threads for the next plot! Really loved all the puzzles and battle challengers from this plot, although I'm still slightly disappointed the Gooli Army, Spiders and Scarab Swarms never had any sort of loot or EXP reward. For better or worse, this plot was exciting and gave us something to do (even if the first few steps were extremely slow-moving).

Not that I personally need any, I am just legit curious for the sake of my fellow users who may potentially desire a Hydrus pet in the future. @Iridescent - The challengers don't give out plot points because they have their own loot. I think they're here until Friday or something? The boss fight lasted 24 hours and that's over now, but again, it doesn't give out plot points. Prizes for that will be awarded later this week.

Really loved the writing and art for this plot! I'm kind of grateful for the cliffhanger end. I'm back in school now and my schedule is reeeeeally full, so I'm glad to not have to miss out on much of the plot haha. Also, thank you for keeping the battle challengers up longer!! I still need to fight them but it's been impossible to find the time for it ;;

I think I looked at the van step on my phone, and I didn't see the "continue" button pop up underneath the map until I looked at the page on my computer.
In any case, there should be a "continue" button that comes up after the van animation at the bottom, but it might not work so well on mobile?

If you watch the van animation one more time, once it completes does it load a new page (should be the outside of a temple, iirc) or does it just reload and play again?
Also, you might try the standard clear your cache, hard refresh (Shift+f5), and possibly a different browser (if you have access and especially if you are using IE/Edge).
Then revisit the Bad Omens splash page (sidebar on the News or again here.

Wow I feel this ending is a little bit.. Open ended. It's like "Well, now you've freed the big bad guy! But no, you don't get to help solve the new issue!" Kinda like if I were to play a Zelda game, play until I get to Ganon's castle, and the game then suddenly ends without me getting to fight Ganon. Or some similar instance in any other game. It was fun and all, I just really feel this was a cut off rather than an actual cliffhanger. At least with normal cliffhangers you get SOME answers to some of the things, not just an ending with absolutely nothing. It feels really like it ended right at the halfway point. I would have been excited to move on, but if there was a break of months or more between this and the rest, I probably wouldn't be near as interested in it as I would right now.

@Tribunal - Yeah... I actually just joined the site when Battle of Omen Islands was near ending. I was able to do a few Amy quest before it got changed to Sarah (I remember because I noticed character change when I was doing newbie quests to build up sP. Of course some sort of random achievement/Quest wipe had happened some time during one of my hiatus in the past and made sure now I have NO Amy achievements at all + no hope of getting it). And amidst my confusion, I did indeed choose pirate but had no clue what went on... so a few days later I was left with thought of "Darn it, I missed a whole big plot?" XD

Classic cliffhanger indeed... It was awkwardly anticlimactic how everything just kind of became fine after all the mad beast and rushing down and OMG and stuffs. At least explode the volcano!
This was a solid (but not great IMO) event with different activities for everyone to enjoy, but it felt so incomplete now that it ended like this. Since today is the ending anyway, timezones or not, was there any need to keep everything on hold for 24h merely to say "the end... for now"? If when we finally reached the village we could fight a second batch of challengers and 24h later we cleared the island (to give everybody a change to fight), then maybe. But just for the dialogue...?
Oh well, please rest now guys!

For the few people who didn't want to even try to fight the boss who notice that they can still do stuff for 1 day, sure, great, I suppose. But it doesn't seem worth stringing the vast majority of the rest of us along :c
Cause I would have gotten that stupid extra 2048 achievement that wasn't announced, but it wasn't at all worth skipping the boss over.

Metroid's idea is something I'd look forward to. There are events in the past that I wasn't around to take part in, and I've always been curious the details and how they might have played out. So I'm excited to see this if it goes through.
Also want to say that I was one that had multiple posts of frustration, and now I realize I could have honestly used a chill pill for most of it.. but I did enjoy the "Trail" concept, and I honestly wish it could have run more smoothly and could have finished in it's entirety. I hope that even if there are people like me that get frustrated and sometimes are a little too vocal (not to say our opinions aren't valid), that it won't discourage the site from executing future events. I look forward to this site's future and what it might bring, and have enjoyed being a part of everything that I've gotten to so far <3

I understand the need to let everyone in different time zones catch up but I think next time can we not use something like 'frantically running down the hill because we touched a thing and everything is going bad!!!' because I really thought, all day, something cool was going to happen. I was really looking forward to it, actually, so when nothing happened it was a serious sour note to end the plot. Just, maybe something with less build up next time? I think the general reaction would have been different if it hadn't seemed like more action was coming.

While there have been a ton of reasons I've been waiting for this plot to end, this seems a bit awkward (even for a cliffhanger). Like climbing the mountain, it feels as if it was intentionally cut short because someone lost interest and couldn't be bothered. Then again, there really could be more coming, what with Keelhauliday and all. I can't see a newly freed sea witch swimming off like nothing ever happened when there's a packed boat in her waters. In that case, cutting it now makes sense so that everything fits by month's end so that we can all have a couple of weeks to breathe before Morostide. We shall see.

Might I suggest for the 'Pedia that all Subetan plots are historically recorded in summary for players who are newer/missed out on past plots? This way when next year's plot recalls back to the Saheric plot, players both old and new will understand what has happened beforehand.

This doesn't feel like much of an ending... but more so a beginning. WTF is Merana going to do with her new found freedom? Kind of disappointed that it stopped here, and I hope that it will be picked up sooner rather than later. So many questions were raised during this plot and we got absolutely no answers. I'm sure I'm not the only person somewhat disappointed by that. :(

Before I even clicked on the link to read other's comments I was thinking--it certainly was anti-climatic. Now I see I'm not the only one who thinks so. I hope I don't get pinged by someone who tells me THEIR opinion of what I'm saying, and why they think mine is somehow wrong. I only ping people to say NICE things, and do not appreciate being pinged so that someone can "tell me off." (And believe me, it HAS happened here, as well as elsewhere). Well maybe the BIG reveal will be some awesome prizes for all of our hard work. Books, books and more books--bring me books, please.
I hope we can keep having some fun games for Team Gold, the ones that @Poptart and @Therona (and a few others) have come up with so far have been great!! :) Keeping peoples' spirits up, yes!

I think I would have been fine with the ending if we had had this dialogue up at the temple instead of after a 24 hour wait. Building suspense for this part was a let down, and that could have been avoided. Imagine:
We run outside of the temple after the crystal debacle, and as soon as we get outside the island suddenly stops shaking and the storm clears up. Someone's like "OH NO, LOOK" and we see Merana jet skiing away in the distance or something, and we're like "oh crap what have we done." Then we get this dialogue that wraps up the plot, and it's over right away.
Building suspense just to have them say the plot ended yesterday doesn't really work?
I'm happy with the plot overall though, and I'm so glad we finally addressed Khaleesi's whole sacrificial thing because I've always been curious about how things turned out after Amy's death. :D

This was a GREAT plot, but I feel like it could've been better. I feel like letting out the sea witch was the real climax of the plot, and I wish we could have gradually ended the plot instead of abruptly finishing right after Merana's release o: All that was needed way maybe 1 - 2 more "plot days," I feel. Even leaving on a slight cliffhanger would be fine - like finding a clue in the temple to ponder over, or a biiiig island celebration for their freedom from Merana o3o

Fun plot! I liked there being something for everybody...fighting, restocking, vending and games. I'm hoping that some of the games stick around to play later! I really enjoyed getting the new details and backgrounds on the island characters and can't wait to see the rewards. The next step in the Merana story seems very promising, will be a challenge readying my combat pet for when that rolls around. All in all, a fun time!

Rather anti-climatic, but on the bright side, the team efforts brought lots of people together and new friends were made. I saw some amazing sharing and caring on our board and a big shout out to @Laurey for all you put into this to make things a bit easier for us.

sure, a bit anticlimactic, but I'm kind of glad this was an anticlimactic plot. plus, i have a feeling well be seeing more of merana in the future. but for now, i DO feel a little more relieved knowing we freed the islanders from dealing with her even if its on a "for now" basis. Kahaleitzli's reaction brought a lot of emotion out of me for that one :')
