@Disasters - if they keep swapping the items out, they'll still be able to sell them for 250 CSC even if they let us pick. They might even be able to resell the older assortments that way. You know? People haven't stopped buying the monthly collections and they still buy the old ones because they didn't have the opportunity to purchase those.
It's just not fair sticking people with items that they don't want for actual money, particularly when the number is also variable. 250 CSC goes for around 25M SP in the market, but you can potentially get multiple items you're lucky to get 3K for, and if you didn't want any of them, it's a ripoff.

So, items worth 300k, 4.2m, 1.6m, and 33m. The geode is a new item (yay), while the henna was already owned.
I guess when you said you removed some of the lower value items, it didn't include the items worth only 300k...

Ooh, I think the eye set (minus makeup/blush) on the blushing blossoms needs to be a subq or cash shop eye with many recolors! Very cute, expressive eyes.

I don’t know on that one. I like the idea of the randomness BUT i think of maybe next time instead of 2-4 we got 3-5 it might be a little more easy to make back your moneys worth?
The only reason I’m weary about pick your own is the prices will plummet FAST (which okay isn’t a bad thing I guess) but based on how many people bought an abundance of them today I don’t know if it would make sense to let us choose one since they’d definitely make a lot less sales.

I too would be happier to pay 250csc and get to choose one I want, let alone two or three, staff have made changes to a lot of stuff like this so we can choose, so maybe they will do it for the makeup too, and make them more like the collection bags.
Maybe even pay more and get a larger guaranteed amount, or split them up into some sort of theme and pay for a bunch at once.

@Disasters - I'm just chiming in with Kyoto, Jersey and also you because I've noticed that the staff do pay attention when a lot of people are saying the same thing in the news comments. They did respond very well to some of the comments about, for instance, the difference between celebrating veganism with other vegans as opposed to putting down other people who are not vegan or implying that veganism is a goal everyone is or should be trying to reach. Any one of us could have made a site feedback topic. :) If I have the energy I might, later today.
I really do hope they put the CW pawn shop up. It'd be a shame if all the CWs people have pawned because they had been in user shops forever and they needed the CSC in a hurry weren't available for others to purchase. I know there's always drama about it but there are so many more older items that are rarely sold and impossible to find anywhere else because they don't sell until the right person sees them--the only way to even find out they exist is to see them in a user shop that probably has them listed as "Display Only" because the seller wants you to complete their equally impossible wishlist in order to buy them :)

Maybe it'd be better to set these to a flat 3 items per case? A happy medium for everyone! There's nothing worse than opening a handful and getting 2 items a time.

As a rule I don't do random stuff that costs CSC. I'd rather pay that 250 CSC to some user for an item I want straight (I need Blushing and Giraffe, btw, anyone?) So, cool but no thanks.

I am going to chime in with the people who are saying that it really does suck that these are random and so is the number you get. CSC either represents real money or a significant investment of time to earn the SP to purchase a gift card at a variable price that goes up when there is cooler stuff in the Cash Shop. I spent 500 CSC (purchased) and mostly got kits I will sell--for far less than 50,000,000 SP. It would be OK if I got enough valuable kits to purchase the ones that I want to own, but I really didn't.
Please do not reply to me with any variation of 'you knew the risks going in' because obviously that's true -- I can read and write, and do a fair amount of maths after all -- the point is that while a certain amount of risk can be fun, this amount of risk turned out not to be, for the same reason that I like buying lotto tickets occasionally but don't want to go blow a significant amount of cash at a casino.
If that's not true for you, good for you--either you have more spare cash or more free time than I do.
BF is coming, I'm not going to waste 250 CSC on chance items that are this random any more when the CW pawn shop is on the horizon.

@Amber Thank you for the quick reply, and it's good to know that some do get removed. Maybe I'm just salty because not only did I get the zombie kit again, but the witch as well. Opening a kit and one of those is one of the items, especially when it's just two... It's still just too big a gamble for me now (and I play Magic: The Gathering, so I'm already too familiar with crushing disappointment when opening something). :)

I know it's always a gamble, but it doesn't help when the older ones don't retire. I just got 
again and I think it was one of the first. That makes each year a bigger gamble than the last which means this year may be the last one I buy any.

I would like the geodes better if they weren't purple. Blue would be nice. Good luck to those trying to get certain ones.

I do wish if it has to be random it would be a set number rather than 2 to 4. RNG sucks so bad especially when using real money.

Literally all of these are gorgeous and super well done! The "Heavy Stitches Makeup Kit" one though is my favorite of this batch. :'D Kudos to the artist(s)! ♥
