Hi all! Okay, so I believe (and never before have I so hoped I'm right!) that I've had a breakthrough with the server config. For the first time, our database servers seems to actually be using a significant part of it's muscle.
So tell me in comments here: is the site fast for you? Or does it still leave something to be desired (and even if so, is it better than before?)

Much better. I can actually remove thing form my wardrobe, so my idea of removing my entire wardrobe is not so far fetched after all. (fingers crossed for a check all or removal button)
Seems pretty good, although there's only 500 people on. But it's not nearly as sluggish as it's been lately. However, was the site down over midnight or something? There hasn't been a new day yet--I can't do item hunt, crack the safe, etc.

Yup yup, much faster, even on heavy image loads, like vault : Seems to be caching them as well, as a second load doesn't start from scratch so it's nearly instant! Kewl Beans!
When I am quick stocking there is still a bit of a pause, seems longer than before we switched but 100% better than earlier this morning.
Better than before but still slightly slower. I'm on highspeed DSL and usually the pages load almost instantly. There's still a pause between pages for me.

THe site is much faster right now which is awesome, but hard to judge because later at night when users are undre 500 the speed increases. I am crossing my fingers for you alex though that this does help!
Yeah, I couldn't even wiz quest yesterday and then once the config was done I did my remaining 20 quests in about 20mins which is pretty darn good.
Oh, there is a DEFINITE difference, it's really fantastic! Every once in a while there will be a strange little lag, but a lag on this new speed just means it takes maybe five seconds instead of half of one! Thanks so much again for putting all the effort into this.
The site is probably the fastest I have ever seen. It'll be a better test to see what happens when there is more traffic i guess but I'm sure it won't be a problem.
Before the last configuration I had just complained to a friend about Shinwa's quests taking 15 - 20 minutes to complete. My next comment was actually eaten by the downtime Feli. Subeta came back up and since then, Ive been proved wrong. I am able to vend with a 1 - 2 second page load and quick stock only took a few seconds to execute instead of waiting a minute or longer.
This is one time I don't mind being wrong. Thank you for not giving up on us.

I just did some vending and it was FAST!...wow..much better then it has been for days...great work on this!

Alex, it is zipping right along for me. I can really tell a difference in the speed tonight.
it's varying for me. overall better, but some page loads are just as slow (it seems to be random... the same page will be slow then fast)

It is faster than it has been, but I am still experiencing slower page loads. In the next hour or so the site will be zipping for me, though.
Hmm.... well in the few seconds since this news came up it's seemed to work better for me. ^^
The site can be a little laggy for itouch/iPhone users. I don't know if that is fixable or not. Also bigger links would be great ;D

From when I logged on, it was extremely slow, but it's slowly picking up it's pace for me.
