Ereth is a very ancient spirit in charge of a very important mission. This senior Montre is responsible for the sleep of every Subetan and their pets.His long legs and thick paw pads were meant to travel, and like that he makes his way across the clouds, high up in sky, crossing big distances every night. Every night, whether it is raining or storming because those things won't matter to him. His pointy ears and sharp snout know the direction to go and he is never lost, after all he does the same route on this job from the day he was born until nowadays, and the thin and long tail makes the perfect balance, like a rudder of his own. Ereth wears a couple of stars tied to his tail, and he replaces them with new ones every couple nights so they are still with all their power in them. ⭐️

He crosses Subeta's skies every night, starting at six p.m, so that he can visit every bedroom there is, where another pet struggles to fall asleep. His fur is covered in sleeping dust which also spreads when he runs - you should see him rolling around in the middle of stardust moments before taking off, it's a lovely thing to see. That dust keeps its magic for the whole night travel because of the stars shining bright at the end of the tail.
Of course, nobody can actually see the Montre entering their homes, not only is his fur shady but also, duh, he is a Montre, as sneaky as one can be. But as soon as he does get inside a house, he shakes his fur inside the bedroom, and the dust causes the pets (and people) to sleep a very good sleep! Dreams included (sometimes nightmares - not Ereth's fault, but don't worry because there are others working on that). As soon as a fragment of that magical star dust floats around the bedroom, it will be drawn to a being's eyes, and shut them close as the sleep effects kick in. Even if you see something glimmering in that shadowy corner, you'll be in deep sleep the minute after, so don't stress about it.

His job is very noble and he has helped many insomniacs around the globe. The only problem is, as he crosses the entire Subeta, by the time he get to his own home, it is already morning. And then Ereth can get no sleep of his own. His bed is already on the basement so he can get every bit of darkness to himself (he HATES sunlight), but the thing is: People are loud. That surely gets to his nerve. And you can't exactly put a sign by the fence asking people to be silent because a Star Walker is sleeping inside, nobody will understand that.

But alright, he could tolerate that, nothing some ear protectors wouldn't fix. Until the pesky sunshine got in his way - the same little bugger that gets rid of nightmares for people is, nowadays, living under his room. "It's only for a short time", she told him. "I'm finding Friske and I'm out in two seconds", he does remember her saying that. But that's the problem with morning people, I guess.

So that's the reason Ereth is a very VERY difficult guy, because of his own sleeping problems. He is very grumpy and moody and will bark and growl at anyone disrupting his peace while he tries to catch some sleep by the day and put the annoying Keeto out of his room.

No wonder he always looks tired. But despite his own sleeping problems, every night you can count on him to help with a good night's sleep, for he is very loyal to his job and, really, very good at it.
