History::
A former spoiled-rotten rich kid who involved with the Zelersenburgs and was unlucky enough to be instant disliked by 'De' for his obnoxious behavior. Being constantly ignored and looked down by 'De' was a shock, and thereby a challenge for him.

And from there, he learned the meaning for the word 'humility' in a hard way...

Fresh out of university as a graduate with a degree in Laws, he rashly enlisted into the army in an attempt to get on De's good side. However, instead it was a fuel adding to flare up De's irritation as he assumed that because they are somewhat relatives, Karsten would expect to get a promotion way ahead of others. Their relationship never actually improved, with 'De' continually mocking that he wondered how much each 'A' in Karsten's transcript costed, not really believing that there is something the older Tauchermann is really good at aside from taunting Karl-heinz.
