I remember it was dark.

The sea crashed against the cliff in a storm. No rain fell on my head though. I was scared. Hoping I had made it in time. The minutes that it took to get to the cliff seemed like hours. When I finally reached the cliff, I found the hidden cave that led inside. The memories of the day I had been shown the cave came to my mind.

Running inside, I find there was nobody there. I had been too late. He was gone.

Falling to my knees, tears well up in my eyes. I knew things would never be as they were again. I felt my heart breaking. I never thought I would be here alone.

Slowly my tears began to stop flowing as much. I noticed movement to my right. As I turned my head, I am hit with a bright light. I had to close my eyes quickly to keep myself from getting blinded.

When my eyes recover, I open them again, ready for the bright light. It is still there but not as bright. I stare in awe at the dragon-shaped light. Despite all the pain I had felt, I felt most of the pain disappear with the presence of the light.

I get back on my feet and walk towards the bright light. I don't feel fear. Only comfort in knowing I am not alone. As I get closer, a sigh escaped.

"He left."

The light nodded her head. Then when I touched her, without warning the light got brighter and blocked everything else out.

Hellsin is a very dear friend of mine. One day my father had allowed me to travel to an Island in my father's kingdom. Thrago had gone with me because my father had given him the position as my guard. While we were exploring the forest beside the beach, we found a lone wolf pup. As hard as we tried, we couldn't find the pup's pack so we could return him. I wanted to keep him but Thrago told me it would not be a good idea but I was able to talk him into it. When we returned to my father's castle, Hellsin was welcomed into the family as my pet. He followed me everywhere. When Thrago and I were split apart, Hellsin became my guard and was the one who was always there for me.
