The Story of Taneo

While the family was eating breakfast, Hatsu giggled. "You all know it's my brithday today?" She smiled.

The whole family gasped, and tried to play it off as though they remembered her birthday.

"Um...yeah...that's right!" Taneo replied as he lifted the newspaper down from in front of his face.

"I'll make your favorite dinner for tonight!" Etsuko nervously spoke, and grinned.

"Not again, you make that every year!" Ririka complained.

Hatsu covered her mouth as she calmly chuckled. "Ha-Ha! Of course! That's my reason for living!"

"Happy birthday Grandma!" Tsuyoshi squealed.

"I want everyone home early today!" Hatsu demanded, before everyone left to start their normal days' work.

What the family didn't know was that coming home on time as expected by Grandmother Hatsu on this day was going to be nearly impossible...

Chapter 1: Goodbye Imperial Development Company

Taneo Dance Fever
Taneo had been dozing off on the job considering the pace of work was slow, steady, and outright dull. He was lightly snoring when suddenly, out of the blue, the exercise alarm went off startling him awake.
"Ok everybody, let's do some exercise to relieve the day's stress!" A co-worker of Taneo's, a woman in a red dress, excitedly beamed. Taneo just looked around, a little disturbed, as everyone else was rising and getting ready for the occasion. He had nearly forgotten about the daily exercise routine with his work!

Outside of where he worked, the building next door, construction workers were working on finishing the assembly of the Atlas statue holding the globe...

Immediately everyone began stretching their limbs and getting ready for the daily dance routine, including Taneo. Then the music started...
Left...right...left...right...raise hands into the air...side step into the rhythm...Taneo was keeping up of course, but he wasn't exactly as youthful as he used to be. Left...right...left...right...hands into the air...YES! Taneo was getting excited as he was keep pace with everyone else...until the music began to kick it up a notch.

LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT HANDS INTO THE AIR, SIDESTEP, UGHHHHHHH UGHHHHHHHHHH...Taneo moaned. The beat was going extremely fast, and he wasn't entirely sure he could endure it. SPINNING AND SPINNING, AND SPINNNING SOME MORE, Taneo got into the groove and gracefully fancy-footed around everyone else. Eventually the music ended, with Taneo panting but of course proud. He had outdone himself this time, and he was excited!

Bowling Inferno
After the exercise break was completed, Taneo felt exhausted. Of course his job had required this break everyday, but he wasn't getting any younger. Soon the room became quiet, and some of the employees looked out towards the window where the construction next door was going on. Suddenly, all the workers panicked after seeing the misplaced globe hurdling towards the window on their floor, and it confused Taneo. What was it they were all running from? He then turned around and saw the huge boulder crash in and start following him, ready to crush his body. This was just not Taneo's day...

the crazy lady cut the breaks to the subway but Taneo still somehow made it home on time. The end!
