I love archaeology with all my heart! I really do! But no one ever seems to think much of it. Everyone brushes off my discoveries, my excitement, and without other people, well... what's the point, right?
And creating (and, of course, solving) puzzles, my other passion... I've no doubts about how helpful such a skill will be down the road, but it's not something to write home about. Without those two things, though, I'm a big nothing. A bore.

Father constantly dismisses any archaeological information I dig up (couldn't resist that pun, sorry!), while Mother basically tells me "That's nice, dear." no matter what artifact or decoded language I show her.

As for Angela and Hershel... Angela's always asked me about my findings, but I doubt she cares much for the subject. And Hershel is absolutely adamant in his disinterest for it.
Henry is honestly the only one who seems to really care about what I live for. And as thankful as I am for that...
...I can't shake the feeling that I'm just a letdown to everyone else. I'll never give up my passion for archaeology-- never! But I do wonder all too often if I'm just... wasting time with it. What if I never amount to anything?

...But worrying about that is pointless, isn't it? I just have to keep pressing forward... that's the way, right?? I'm honestly no good at convincing myself... but no one else tells me these things, so I feel like I'm all I've got.

I guess I'll have to take more drastic measures to get people on board. Can't go giving up now! Those ruins I found recently... I'm practically dying to explore them! I think that place will be a good start...

Besides, what could go wrong? After all, I'm going to be a world famous archaeologist someday! They'll see!
