((So, I have too many ACTUAL cats put effort into my virtual pet's story. As of now, December 2021, there's eight. There's been a large herd before them and I'm sure there will always be at least a few for the rest of my life.
-
I'll start with Tigger. He was my very first cat and lived past 16 years old. He passed away in 2016 and his ashes remains in my room, in a small cardboard box that he would have loved even in life. He played daddy to any and every kitten he was introduced to, from bathing them to putting up with them trying to breastfeed... even Stevie, who had fully grown but continued trying until Tigger's very last day.
-
Next is the first sibling herd to be brought (well, born) into our home. We took in a stray cat who turned out to be pregnant. She had five kittens, all boys. Two, Moon Beam and Zankou (Charmed references), were sent to a new home when they were old enough. Harley and the twins, Simba and Stevie (originally unfittingly named Demon), stayed with us. All three have since passed away, Simba being the last on November 26, 2021.

Binx was our surprise about two years after the first herd was born. He was sent home with us by my aunt and uncle and immediately took over the house. While still a kitten, he tried his hardest to beat up all the older cats, who only stared back at him, knowing that it wasn't right to slap the hell out of a kid. Like Tigger, he became a big baby to me from day one. He's now getting to experience the terror he put the cats before him through thanks to the younger cats!
-
Fluffy and Pumpkin are two more strays we took in. Fluffy started out absolutely terrified of us. It took a long time before he would finally walk all the way into the kitchen from the front door to eat. We believe he used to be a house cat (he even came neutered!) possibly to someone who passed away.
Pumpkin is the older sister to the young sibling kitties. Mama cat brought her over and dropped her off like she would with her future batch. Similarly to Stevie, she naturally came with anxiety and unexplainable weirdness. It took many years for Stevie to become semi-normal, but Pumpkin is is on a good track so far!

Now we have Neo. We were having our roof worked on, and it rained in the house. Coming home from our second night in the motel (over a 6 month stay overall) we found that one of the roofers had found a kitten at the transfer station/dump and left him on our front porch. We immediately took him to the vet. Nobody expected him to make it; he smelled like trash, he was crawling with tiny bugs and someone had put diesel fuel on him. He refused a bottle and had to be dropper fed. He yelled when he wasn't being held, so he slept with me every night on the couch while both bedrooms had been damaged and my parents stayed in the motel. Today, his nicknames include "trash kitty", "dirtball" and "bastard." He's hyper, he'll lick anything in sight and to this day, his favorite thing is STILL anything that belongs in the garbage can.
-
Lastly for now is the youngest sibling herd. Only two weeks younger than Neo, the stray mama cat brought them over early one morning and kept them here, knowing that when it got cold enough, we'd have no choice but to bring them in as house cats. One of the girls, named Squishy Trump, went home with an electrician who did repairs after the damage done to our house. She now has a doggy brother!
The other four, two boys (Tater and Popo) and two girls (Itty Bitty and Cheeseball), are still with us. They're hyper enough to be best friends with Neo. They're fascinated with the sink and shower, plastic silverware, bread and plastic. Paired with Neo, they're all absolutely ridiculous and would gladly destroy the house if given the chance.
A batch of tiny terrors with their mama; Itty Bitty (calico, back), Popo (black & white), Cheeseball, Squishy Trump and Tater (creamsicles, clockwise)

Hopefully these guys will be our cat limit for the next several years, but that's been said many times before...))
