The ocean and space, so diffrent yet so much in common. I've always love the ocean, from the frist day I was created and the stars have captivated me since the day I was born.
Yes, it sounds odd, but I was not born like others of my kind, I was created by a skill artisan in a small town near Delphi. He had a gift, a talent, he put a part of his own being into everything he made (not that it was a lot) and with each creation, each had a gift. A serpenth in free flight, I was loved by the people of the town and my gift, I could feel everything around me. The wind blowing from the sea, to the feelings on the people that came to look at me or shop at the market. So it was for a time, then I felt someone stonger come to see me. It wasn't just one or two times but everyday, this person come and just watch me, it's emotions for me growing stonger and then something happened. I started to feel for this person, I'd never felt anything for myself before, just feeling other and the sea made me happy but now I want to know about this stranger before me.
then one night, I felt something come over me, someone was chanting. I'd felt singing before, very beatiful but this was harsh and felt as though it went right through me. If I'd lungs at the time, I would have screamed. Suddenly there was a loud crack and my eyes snapped open and there I saw them, twinkling above me, what I would later lrean were stars. Captivated, I would have stood there forever, but a sould below me made me whip my head around,. The sudden movement cause me to fall, I could feel the wight of my stone body pull me down. I thought this was the end but someone caguth me, repeating a word over and over to me, ... sorry,sorry,sorry... They felt so sad. This person put me on their back and walk out of the town, quite now. As we went along, I at first looked around me but so much sight and smell was overwelming and I had to close my eyes and thats when a felt the person carrying me. "It was you!" "I'm sorry..." "I don't understand, you came to see me everyday, I...I want to know you." The person stop and put me down in the soft sand. We turn to look at each other, this person was almost a gray as me, with pink crystels growing out of thier back. "I knew it! I knew you could feel!" Some of the sadness dissappeared and was replaced by the longing I knew so well.
He explain himslef, his name was Keth Stonebearer and was an appentice. When he had seen me the first time, he told me he could tell I was speacial and want to be with me. He had practice a spell that was supposed to bring non-living things to life it something went worng and though I was alive, I was still stone. "You'll most likly never be able to fly" he said, storking one of my wings. We were now in a old sea cave, far from anyone. "I don't care," I responed, laying my head on his sholder "As long as I have you, Keth"
I took the name FreeStone, for I was free to do what I wanted and even though I was no longer the center of attention in town I was the cneter of Keth's. He came to visit everyday and told me about his life. Sometimes we would sit loing into the night and look at the stars. He wanted to know everything and like me, the sea and the star were the last great mysters. "Tell you what Keth, I'll learn everything about the sea for you if you tell me everything you find out about the stars." "Deal" WIP
