My journey began on September 13, 2005 as a Troll Shaman named Gypheous (who is now a female Troll named Wîntersprîng). When I reached level 60 I became exalted with Orgrimmar before I achieved max riding. I was a mere level 39 when a Human Mage unlocked the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, dying multiple times on my trek through Un'Goro and Silithus. It was there that I witnessed a Tauren Warrior who took on two Anubisath Guardians while the server crashed several times. I also witnessed a Hunter pet bring in the infamous Hakkar debuff which rendered Orgrimmar helpless for an entire hour and forty-five minutes. There was a time my team got trapped in Warsong Gulch for three or four hours because a Gnome Rogue used a flying hack to cap two flags before being disconnected with the third flag. After a couple of hours slaughtering each other we eventually just sat down in the middle of the field and partied.
Battling for Blacksmith in Arathi Basin meant more than just being another point, but a lookout for incoming enemies from across the map. Alterac Valley matches could easily last an entire week or more and having Warlord and High Warlord gear and title with matching black war mount or Frostwolf Howler was a great honor. If you managed to get your hands on a Legendary weapon, people all over the server knew your name. There were no Heroic nor Mythic encounters as achieving an entire successful raid of forty individuals at max level was our Mythic achievement equivalent. Boss fights which had to be executed with uniformity and little error taking up to ten or fifteen minutes, requiring special elemental resistance gear ranging from fire to nature. A raid group with gear, skills, knowledge, and unity which could quell Ragnaros' fiery wrath deep within the confines of Molten Core or slay the Troll god Hakkar to free the Gurubashi Tribe from his cruel intentions. Being exalted with a faction took weeks, even months to accomplish and having epic mount movement meant something.
Soon came brand new adventures with each new expansion which set its bar higher with every release. I collected forty-three mounts before the achievement system was introduced October 28, 2008. The achievement system which forever changed World of WarCraft for the better. I remember my first exotic pet, an albino Devilsaur named Ian (after Dr. Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park) and how much more fun and challenging it became to acquire newer, more unique exotic pets. There were dungeon and raid achievements, and so much more. Finally I could keep track of everything I was achieving without having to write it all down.
At long last my World of WarCraft was taken away from me when my computer Skeletor died. No longer could I focus the negative energies of depression on something more lighthearted and fun. Skeletor left me in May of 2017 and I have been without World of WarCraft since September of 2017. After 12 long years I sadly had to quit my wonderful journey against my will, losing myself to depression for a while. It's not all bad, however, as I still have my memories from this wonderful game. I could spend hours writing about the endless encounters I've had on Azeroth, possibly even days or weeks or months. My main character does have over three-hundred-seventy-five days /played after all and let's not forget all of my other treasured characters.

DISCLAIMER: This pet is purely an information page for the game World of WarCraft, a Blizzard production. I do not own anything on this page and all credit goes to Blizzard unless otherwise stated.
Footnotes: World of WarCraft is not meant to represent any one faction. On a favorite pet name thread someone mentioned they looked more Horde oriented and that was probably because of their former minion, as I play primarily Horde characters (it was a placeholder minion until I figured out what minion to get for them). I chose the Nostalgic Velosotor because it looks like the Fossilized Raptor Mount you can obtain from Archaeology, who looks like the Fossilized Raptor Hatchling Companion.

Carve a Path Through History
It is the era of an Old Horde, forged with steel rather than fel blood. A union of great orc clans, the Iron Horde, tramples the planet Draenor beneath terrifying war machines. Azeroth falls next. Worlds uncounted will follow. You must mount a desperate charge on Draenor--savage home of orcs and adopted bastion of stoic draenei--at this pivotal moment. Your allies are legends from across time; your fortress a foothold in an alien land. Lead the armies of one world against another...before the future itself is unmade.
With Warlords of Draenor, Classic Warcraft races sport higher detail, updated animations, and new visuals that reflect the soul of their original models: teeth, bones, beards, 'hawks, and all. Look ready for action. Be ready for action.
Arise a Champion
Opposing the Iron Horde are the heroes of Azeroth--at the heights of power they've always been destined for. Even if you're new or returning to the game, Warlords empowers you to boost one of your characters to level 90 and master new abilities at the gateway to Draenor, so that you can charge into grand combat right away. Play the races and classes you've always wanted to try, wage war alongside your friends, and take your place among WarCraft's finest.
Take Command on Draenor
To clash with the greatest army Draenor has ever known, you'll need your own forces and your own fortress. Construct a mighty garrison: an enduring home base integrated seamlessly with the world, not a hiding spot far from the action. Customize it with specialized structures like farms, stables, armories, workshops and more. Establish trade routes and unlock new quests, gear and pets to support your war for Draenor. Recruit stalwart followers to man your base, and send them to loot dungeons, fulfill missions, and craft items, even if you're offline. Tame a deadly realm, and build an unbreakable monument to victory.
Journey to a Mythic Time
Before the orcs first invaded Azeroth, the Iron Horde rose to dominate a historic age. Only the heroes of past and present still defy the warlords of Draenor. Through a refined, flexible questing system, you'll meet storied heroes and villains in battle without slowing your exploration of a forbidding land. As you and your allies win victories, you'll be duly rewarded--any quest can randomly award bonus rare or epic items. Stand beside legends. Break the tide of steel.
Draenor is a land of magma and metal, stone and steam. City-forges wrap her twin moons in smog, and wheels deform the earth. Vicious saberon, winged arakkoa, spike-skinned gronn, and more unusual creatures rule the edges of the world, feasting on anything they kill. Enigmatic draenei refugees have built a coastal foothold into a glimmering state replete with the libraries and worship-halls of their timeless civilization. Meanwhile, the Iron Horde's slaves labor on engines of war pointed at the draenei and worlds beyond. Kingdoms, clans, tribes, men, women, children--all are tense as coiled muscles.

Declare Your Allegiance
Azeroth paid a terrible price to end the apocalyptic march of the Legion's crusade--but even as the world's wounds are tended, it is the shattered trust between the Alliance and Horde that may prove the hardest to mend. In Battle for Azeroth, the fall of the Burning Legion sets off a series of disastrous incidents that reignites the conflict at the heart of the Warcraft saga. As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth's heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world's mightiest resources, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.
Pre-purchase Battle for Azeroth and begin your quest to recruit four new playable Allied Races. Heroes of the Horde can enlist the Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne, and champions of the Alliance can add the Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves to their ranks.
As a champion of the Horde, travel to the empire of Zandalar to persuade the trolls to lend their naval might. As a defender of the Alliance, venture to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore, and rally its inhabitants to fight for your cause. Quest through 10 new levels to the new level cap of 120--then continue to grow in power through new World Quests, raids, dungeons, and more.
Set out on Island Expeditions and conquer an ever-changing array of enemies, environments, and objectives. Battle in groups of three as you race against cunning rival intruders--or enemy players--to collect each island’s resources and fuel the war effort.
Fight on the battlefields of a large-scale, 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Capture resources to build your faction’s forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to objectives, and fight the enemy commander to claim victory in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.
Seek out Azerite, an invaluable new resource that has emerged in the Legion’s wake. Imbue the Heart of Azeroth--a legendary neck piece entrusted to each hero by Magni Bronzebeard--with Azerite to customize your armor with new powers and traits.
Enter the raging conflict between the Horde and the Alliance prepared to survive on the front lines of a vicious new war.
