How does your garden grow?
So many people love flowers, and Succulephant adored them above all. Even today, she has succulents still living from when she cared for them as a child. Though they needed little care, the fact that they thrived under hers gave her a lot of encouragement, and so she grew up learning how to raise and revive more needy and fragile flowers over time. Gardening was her passion.
One thing that bothered her, though, was how others claimed to love flowers so much... yet would pluck the blooms from their stems, leaving the flowers to quickly fade and die. Such people would then throw them away carelessly without another thought. Succulephant could not understand this. She loved them so much that she would care for them; how could others claim to love them too, and then destroy and throw them away?
One day on her travels around Subeta, Succulent discovered the Survival Memorial. Several bouquets of flowers had been left to slowly rot rot on the stone! How could a memorial to survival be desecrated with further death? She couldn't bare to see wilting petals falling in dedication to the fallen...
She decided then and there that she would care for the flowers left behind. Nostalgia took over her as she replanted and watered the blossoms left at the memorial, and soon a whole garden had grown around it. This was much better, Succulephant thought.
After all, it was a memorial for survival. It was only right that the flora surrounding it should live on.
