Nijaito Shion is a lab created KAITO V3 derivative. He was not created by Crypton, rather, he was built by a currently unnamed company. Their motivation was unknown, but Nijaito had traits of most known other KAITO derivatives built into him. As a result, he has an insane vocal range. However, being created in such a manner has had some drawbacks. For example, Niji’s personality can be extremely volatile at times, sometimes switching between extreme emotions at the drop of a hat. The project was dropped, most likely due to fear of his incredible strength and cannibalistic tendencies, and he was left alone in the laboratory basement for 3 years until he was found by his current caretaker Lily.

Personality wise, Nijaito is kind of a jerk. He tends to lack a filter when he talks, so he curses a lot in normal conversations. He’s loud, rude, and has a extremely bad temper, which combined make him difficult to be around and deal with at times. He is also very vengeful, able to hold grudges for months or even years after an altercation occurs. He can also be very manipulative, using his softer looking exterior to lower another person's guard around him. Lily is trying to get him to stop, but he slips up sometimes as it is a compulsive urge
