He hated waiting. Hated the suspense of it. As a high noble he was used to getting things on time. The irritation was building up inside him. Merith was sitting on his big comfy bed, in his beautiful sleeping quarters. He let out a big sigh. Where was he? He should have been here by now. It wasn’t like the rogue to be late. A new line of thought entered his mind as he was sitting there. What if something had happened? The town guards might have caught him. The drow weren’t supposed to be in this town after all. Bodran was risking a lot coming here. Risking his life. Just to come and see Merith. He bit his lower lip. Bodran risked his life so that he could spend a night with Merith. This wasn’t the first time they were meeting like this. Merith almost blushed thinking about the hot nights they’d spent together in the past. More than a couple of times Bodran had almost gotten caught when leaving the morning after. He let out a deep sigh. Damn this society and all of it’s unspoken rules. Why should it be so wrong for the two of them to be together publicly? So what that he was a high elf and Bodran was a drow. Or that both of them were men. Why should that be of any concern to anyone else? How was it any of their business who Merith loved? His thoughts stopped in an instant then. Loved? Did he love Bodran? Was that what he felt for him? Three gentle taps on the glass of the balcony door brought him back to reality and he composed himself before hurrying over and opening the door. As soon as the door was opened wide enough for the drow to slip through Merith found himself being pushed back a few feet until his back hit the wall. He barely had time to react before Bodran forcefully crashed his lips against Merith’s. After several minutes of passionate kissing Bodran ended it with a light, loving kiss before taking a step back from Merith, who was trying his best to catch his breath and regain his composure.
-”Sorry.”
-”What exactly are you sorry about? Making me wait or for basically assaulting my lips just now?” Bodran gave him a sheepish grin in response before stepping closer again and leaning his forehead against Merith’s and letting their nose tips touch. Merith barely dared to breath for fear of ruining the moment.
-”How about both?”

Merith woke up to Bodran doing his best to get free from his arm without waking him up. When he noticed that he’d actually woken Merith up he leaned down and gave him a tender kiss.
-”Sorry for waking you up, beautiful. It’s time for me to leave.” Merith sighed and as Bodran was getting out of the bed he put his arms around him and pulled him back down onto the bed. Bodran chuckled. “You know I need to go. Your servants could burst through that door at any moment.” A quick and effortlessly fluid movement later and Merith was suddenly straddling the drow. Kissing his dark lover passionately he only paused long enough to utter two words.
-”Let them.”
