"Such a soft being of light. Such pure intentions. Such kind heart. Why must she be torn from me?"

Crete is unaware of how she came into existence but it sure felt explosive. She and her family had been slain at the hands of a rather powerful demon and her soul never seemed to find peace. Her brother, Thrace, had tried to defend the family but he was no match. It all had seemed so sudden. Her spirit drifted endlessly in the void, desperate to find either someone else or just pass this plane to a better place. But she did not come across this supposedly kind afterlife, instead being thrown into what seemed like a cosmic wolf crafted specifically for her. As if some higher power had more plans for her tired soul before giving her up. She could hear her brother calling for her before she fell from the sky, plummeting to Astrinet with such speed she was sure she was going to perish yet again. Her landing was rather soft though, her fall coming to a gentle float to the ground. There she was. In front of Scarset's richest families. The Bon family. Mrs. Bon was quite kind to her and offered her shelter while they figured out why in the world she had just appeared out of nowhere. Mr. Bon seemed distracted by his antiques to care much for her, she didn't mind though, he had an odd feeling to him. Her senses did not like that. The twins, Airy and Noiruss were wild and obnoxious, asking questions at lightspeed and Crete found herself unable to answer them quick enough for their liking. They pulled at her hair and tail before being chased away by the brightest light she ever did see. Her name was Arylaire. She was so soft. So gentle. Sure she asked her questions but was quiet long enough to let Crete respond. Arylaire served her tea and made little cookies. Shared her clothing since the poor cosmic wolf had been in the nude this entire time. Crete's family had been quite poor and lived in a rather rocky region where nothing grew. Not even the hardiest of plants dared called the place home. Traveling to the marketplace below was a rather arduous journey but Crete and her brother had always made it for their mother...
Crete never expected kindness from such a wealthy family, especially one that put Scarset on the map. She spent most days with Arylaire, unable to stay far away from the light she seemed to give. Unfortunately one day things seemed to go awry when Mrs. Bon finished her research. Suddenly the family was hostile and Arylaire was taken from her and locked away in a deep section of the house. Crete was called many names by the Bon's though one rang out the most painful. Demon. She could feel her heart shattering as the Bon's had called her such and even began attacking. They vowed that the cosmic being would never get close to their daughter ever again and swore if they saw her they would have her destroyed on sight. Devastated, Crete ran out an open window as quickly as she could for Mr. Bon, who had been so absorbed in his vintage collectables, had emerged with a gun and begun firing upon her with bullets she'd never seen before. She escaped into the night, the stars were her only guide. Her only friends. She vowed to come save Arylaire from such a disgusting family soon...
...As she could hear her brother's voice in the distance.
