Tuhinga liked a lot of things, but what she liked most was color. If you handed her a crayon she'd draw all over the walls, if you handed her paint, she wouldn't stop until every surface of every peice of furniture in the room was splattered with colors, bright and cheerful. She wouldn't have it any other way.
Her favorite foods were the colorful ones. Cupcakes, ice cream sundaes, and cookies were best. Sometimes she got to help with the baking and that meant she got to help with the decorating. Her taste in decorations were the same as her taste in art supplies-the more color the better, and there would be no bit of pastry unfrosted or unsprinkled once she was done with it.
Her favorite time of year was her birthday. On her last birthday she got to go to the beach. The sun was high in the sky and there were playful waves splashing on the shore. Tuhinga brought her swim toys with her and celebrated the day with the sea in all its splendor. That night when she blew out the candles on her birthday cake she only wished for more days filled with more colors as far as the eyes could see.
