Many of the residents of Delphi Beach have seen a lone blacklight devonti sitting on the beach by herself. The devonti’s name is Outwub, and her closest friends will tell you that she is somewhat of a wild card. You wouldn’t think someone who spends hours at a time resting on the beach to be an adrenaline junkie, but that is exactly what Outwub is. Outwub is an upbeat and positive soul that not only likes peaceful relaxation but also wild excitement. She is very fond of car racing; she has collected all sorts of racing memorabilia from over the years. Outwub also loves to listen to video game tracks. Her friends have often heard the music connected to some beloved plumbers and a sword-wielder soaring through Outwub’s house when they come to visit her.

One night Outwub was browsing through the internet when she noticed that someone had made a remix of one of the tracks from one of her favorite games. When she clicked on the link and began to listen to the remix, Outwub was blown away. The remixer had done a good job with keeping the spirit of the original soundtrack while also making it sound rather unique. Outwub examined the comments and noticed that someone had asked the remixer what software they had used to compose the remix. After reading the remixer’s answer and checking out tutorial videos on the software itself, an idea began to form in Outwub’s mind.

Over the next few months, Outwub obtained audio editing software and began to create remixes. She shared her remixes online and obtained criticism on how to improve. Slowly she began to build an online fanbase. Outwub also occasionally wrote some lyrics for some of her most favorite video game tracks and set them to some of her remixes, which got interesting feedback as well. However, this new hobby was known only by Outwub’s closest friends. Those who did not know Outwub well still saw her collecting shells during her outings to the beach and attending car races all over Subeta.

One night Outwub and one of her close friends attended a rave party in lower Ziara. When they first entered the location for the dance, Outwub instantly loved how the various colored lights that flashed across the main dance floor added flair to the atmosphere of the dance venue that was hosting the party. Outwub’s friend soon noticed that the hostess of the dance, a blacklight cybill, was motioning for them to come over to where she was standing. The cybill’s face was showing concern, and Outwub and her friend wondered if an issue had come up. They weren’t wrong.

Outwub was shocked to hear what the cybill had told them. Apparently the DJ that had been hired to perform at the party had been forced to cancel his engagement at the last minute. The bad news had peeved the cybill considerably.

“A rave party can’t be a rave party without the appropriate music!” she moaned, shaking her head.

Outwub’s friend thought quietly for several minutes and then said, “Maybe Outwub could serve as the DJ?”

Both Outwub and the blacklight cybill were bewildered by the suggestion. Outwub’s friend quickly explained that Outwub had created some remixes that just might fit the atmosphere of a rave party. The blacklight cybill turned to Outwub and asked if this was true. Outwub stated that it was so, but she was still taken aback by the idea. However, her friend and the blacklight cybill convinced her to try.

When the other guests arrived and the blacklight cybill announced that the rave party had officially begun, Outwub nervously began to play one of her remixes. She had carefully chosen the remixes that she believed would fit the setting of the rave party the best, but she was aware that the guests might not like or understand the music that she had chosen for the occasion. The remix began to play, and Outwub held her breath.

Outwub’s remixes made the rave party an awesome experience for all of the guests. Everyone seemed to like the music, and some brave souls even performed breakdance moves to the beats of Outwub’s remixes. After the party, Outwub got several questions from people who had attended the party about what music she had played. They were all intrigued by the fact that video game music could sound so catchy and cool, and they decided to listen to listen to the original soundtracks for themselves.

Eventually Outwub was invited to serve as a DJ at other parties throughout Subeta, and she was able to earn a decent income doing what she loved. Her online fame grew as well. Eventually some of the lyrics that Outwub had written became some of the most memorable fan-made content of the various video game series that she loved.
