Carasynthia has a minion!

Corazon the Riisan

You timidly enter the mysterious tent-like building and are greeted by a mysterious voice.

“Welcome. I assume you have come for my wares?”

You are hesitant. You never expected that you would find yourself in such a place like this. Yet here you are, hoping that this unknown shopkeeper can help you.

“Ah,” the voice continues, “a typical response from a new face in my humble caravan. Come in, come in, there’s no reason to be afraid.”

A figure appears from the shadows to greet you. It is an angel mortiking. The mortiking motions with her hand, prompting you to follow her. The two of you see shelves filled with bottles.

“This is what you have come for, correct?” the mortiking asks. “One of my potions to fix what aills you?”

You quickly nod.

“Well,” the mortiking says firmly, “I need to clear up a common misconception about my potions. Many believe that my potions make people fall in love. That is simply not true. My potions are not responsible for actually causing the effect of falling in love. These potions actually use the emotion of love as a catalyst for activation. In other words, if you are not in love, my potions will have no effect.”

You give a slightly confused look but say nothing as the angel mortiking continues.

“For example, my beauty in love potion.” The mortiking takes a blue bottle off the shelf next to her and presents it to you. “When ingested, the person undergoes a transformation anytime they experience strong feelings of love. I typically give this potion to those who are in love but fear being rejected due to not being the most beautiful suitor. As one could guess, this potion is very popular due to many people having low self-confidence about their body.”

“Another popular potion is the strength in love potion. Those who drink this potion gain a massive boost in strength when feelings of love occur. Admittedly, there have been some…. unfortunate injuries that occurred as a result of my clients underestimating how strong they would become as a result of the potion. I’ve usually given this potion to lovesick nerds who fear that they aren’t masculine enough to win their crush’s affection. But I’ve always held brains as more important,” the mortiking stated, shaking her head.

The angel mortiking turns to face you and asks, “Now, why don’t we get down to business? Let’s go into my consultation room and you can tell me all about your woes in the pursuit of love.”

The two of you enter the consultation room and sit down. You tell the mortiking about your crush. You tell the mortiking you wish to talk to your crush but you are too shy and awkward to strike up a conversation with her. Eventually, after some more discussion, the mortiking comes to a conclusion about your dilemma.

“It seems you lack the confidence to tell your crush how you feel. Your crush needs to know this or chances are the two of you will not end up together. Fortunately for you, I have a potion that can alleviate that.”

The angel mortiking gets up and walks out. A short time later she returns with a potion and presents it to you.

“This is Truth in Love. Ingesting it causes you to blurt out your true thoughts when feelings of love are present. I must warn you though, sometimes very…awkward incidents have occurred due to this potion. Two of my clients who had this potion reported that they revealed their feelings to a crush in front of a rival suitor! So when using this potion I would advise that precautions should be taken,” the mortiking states.

You stare at the potion with uncertainty. The mortiking assures you that she could give you another potion, though she believes that the “Truth in Love” potion best fits the current situation. You decide to take the “Truth in Love” potion and sees what happens. You pay the price for the potion and thank the angel mortiking for her help. As you exit the building and walk away, the angel mortiking waves at you.

“Good luck! And if anyone asks about the potion, just tell them Carasynthia sent you!”

After the customer left, Carasynthia gave a small sigh and shook her head. Her thoughts drifted to the various people who had come to her for help. Carasynthia had always sympathized with those who struggled with finding love. And oftentimes these people didn’t think they were good enough for their crush. So in order to help these poor lovelorn souls, the mortiking had dedicated herself to helping others find the skills and confidence they needed to obtain true love.

“And people think I’m a trash being who doesn’t care for nice things,” she muttered under her breath.
