I imagine that this was the case for a lot of people, but I was first introduced to the wonderful artistry of Mika through hearing his song Grace Kelly on the radio back in 2007. There is just something so special about him and his voice, and the songs he writes, that has kept me captivated for all of these years. And I am still a fan to this day. He is quite unique, and I am here for it and love it ♥️
Basically all of his songs are good in my eyes, but there are of course those that stand out just a bit more to me. The majority of those are on this list of honorable mentions.

Didn't want you sleeping with a boy too long

Like most of Mika’s songs that I’ve included here (both in the top 10 list as well as in the honorable mentions) this is a song that just fills me with happiness when I listen to it. This song has such a beautiful melody to it. The piano is almost enchanting. As are the beautiful vocals from Mika and Jack Savoretti. A gorgeous ballad, and duet. The beat here is what really has me the most hooked. But it also has great lyrics. And Mika’s vocals will always make me smile and be happy. No matter what he sings about. This song is just pure fun and happiness to me. And so is the official music video. I have to say, I absolutely love the intro to this song. This is another song with nice lyrics that should make you think. And it also has a great melody and beat. I’ve loved this song ever since I first listened to it. It has a great beat, wonderful falsetto vocals from Mika and, last but not least, nice lyrics. Not only does this one have a great melody, and build up. But it also showcases Mika’s vocals very nicely. And it has a nice beat too. This song just makes me happy to listen to. I especially love hearing Mika’s wonderful voice in the chorus. And like so many of his songs it has nice lyrics that can make you think. This song is a bit quirky, but it also has a good underlying message about public perception, especially for young men.
I also love the melody which makes me think of old wind-up toys and the like. This song is quintessentially Mika to me. It’s fun and happy, and always makes me smile and just feel better and get in a better mood no matter what. And it perfectly showcases his wonderful vocals ♥️

It's a serious thing in a grown-up world

The thing that I definitely love the most about Mika is his voice. He’s got a wonderful range, but my favorite bits are when he sings in falsetto. He hits those higher notes so beautifully. But, his songs are also, more often than not, happy and fun. They make me happy and makes me feel lighter. And they make me smile.
And, if you feel like it, you can also analyze the lyrics if you want to since many of his songs, if not all of them, have a deeper meaning to them. Usually it’s a comment about social issues in society. Things that definitely could be better, for everyone.
I hope that we will all get to enjoy much more from this amazing singer, and songwriter, in the future ♥️
