Have you ever had to kill to stay alive? Blood covering your maw looking forlorn for the fact it was you or them. Alone in the world without anyone to love you? Why even fight the fight to stay alive? Growlmer felt like he had a bigger purpose. Not just to kill or be killed, there was something else he knew there was.
He lived on the streets until I found him, usually in a dark alley way or hidden among some boxes trying to catch some sleep. He was rather savage when I first found him, in fact he took a chunk out of my arm. I still have the scar to prove it.
I also had a package of lunch meat in a grocery bag that I had from the store. I hushed him while he had his mouth around my arm and pulled out some of the lunch meat and dangled it in front of his nose. He quickly let go and basically swallowed the pieces whole. I kept patting him on the back and told him he could eat all he wanted if he came home with me. He decided to agree. Now if he has blood on his face it is to protect his brothers and sisters from danger.
