THE JESTER

Yangtze is a bit touched in the head, which might have something to do with having been an experimental pet before she settled into a Paralix. As such, she can’t grasp popular conventions of gender, society, race – heck, anything, really. She looks at the world through lenses, rose-colored, kaleidoscopic, and keen. She’s the smartest of her brothers and sisters, the most observant, though very few can understand her (Hjördís can’t even stand her).

She’s the oldest in the family, but plays up her child-like demeanor with absolutely no shame. She’s also the pack-rat; her room is an entirely different plane of existence altogether. Never go into it. Ever.
