TL;DR

For years, Flow grew up hearing the saying of his family: "everything in life is connected." Though he understood what the phrase was supposed to mean, he never fully got it, as though further context was needed. Then, one day, as he was lazing in his backyard, watching a bird build a nest, he thought: if everything is connected, surely if he were to wander off, he could still find his way back home?

So, he prepared. As the bird was nesting and taking care of its egg, Flow made preparations to go on travel. And, as soon as the baby bird learned to fly, he went after it, and took the first step in his journey. This is his logic: if everything in life is connected, then surely, by following a living creature until he meets a new one, going any direction fate decides for him, at one point he'll come across someone who will take him right back home.

He's been travelling the Anyverse in such fashion ever since: he finds something travelling a certain trajectory, for a set amount of time, and he follows it. He's taken routes based on bird migrations, flocks of deer, ant paths, roots of massive trees. He's followed train tracks and taken public transport, he's hitchhiked with people willing to take him on board. He's met families and lone travelers, he's made a ton of friends and come in close contact with thieves, robbers and pickpockets. The good and the bad, he's seen everything in his trip, and despite the sour moments, despite the fact he's strayed further and further from his home, he wouldn't change it for the world.
