History::
The middle son of the second generation of Zelersenburgs after the WW, and the one with the full military authority in his hand.

Originally assigned to look after and protect his other two brothers, but instead Stefan was the first to take off, marrying a young Spanish woman and relocated to a faraway country where he thought was suitable for 'hiding out' and secretly training for his successor. He stepped down from the position as the head of family's security and handed over his military responsibility when 'De' turned 19.

He was 'retired' until the time when 'De' changed and lost. Later, knowing it's partially his fault to blame for the reason 'De' turned his back to humanity - he, somehow, returns to the house of Zelersenburg after years, with astonishingly and strangely youthful appearance. From then, he fills in for the duty that was once his.

Random Facts::

-------Certain Fragment of Memories

The last time I went to the hospital due to the birth of my child, I surely didn't expect to get more than another new baby...a boy, hopefully.

...I should have suspected something was unusual when Maria's labor started although she was merely into her 7th month of pregnancy.

And soon after I found the reason why, I did expect the early delivery would have something to do with Maria's health and thought her body just couldn't put up with anymore pregnancy after four children but...

...turned out there -were- babies, although I'd rather count them as 'one and half' instead of 'two' babies...since the one that born first, XVIII, was nearly a half smaller than XIX.

That 'half' was 'De'...or Christian as I named him. The name 'Kasimir' was a name he changed to later himself, saying it suited him better.

I decided to take the gamble; while I wasn't even sure if the original 'XVIII' would even survive long enough that I wouldn't have to move the 'XIX' up so soon, I'd take care of the task to turn XVIII to the 'soldier' of the third generation. Meanwhile, I'd find some suitable person from those I could trust within the army for the task of training XIX.

And only a bit over two years, the bastard got himself killed somehow. I was restless, wanting to go over there to retrieve XIX back myself but I couldn't leave XVIII alone with just his sister. The choice of contacting my wife and in-laws to watch him for the period of time was also out of question; if they learned my -goal-, it was no doubt they would step in to meddle with the plan, which I wouldn't allow to happen again since they had already done that with my earlier children. Also, the -bug- reported that a neighbor had already taken XIX as an adopted child. If I wanted to get XIX back at any cost...I probably had to kill them, and it wouldn't be wise at all considering where that would take place...

Reluctantly, I decided to let 'XIX' go - supposedly fate only allowed me to have just one but not two of them.

From then, I put my entire effort on XVIII; I wanted him to be best prepared to face whatever threat he might encounter in future. Primal instinct to struggle to survive, always giving everything for duty - the basics but I looked deeper into it and found something that usually gotten overlooked...

As a heterosexual, most of the trainees never been prepared to handle the threat when they are raped; and I meant being raped the same way women are molested. Thus, once that was done, the mental damage is usually too much for them that they seek to kill themselves or even willing to betray their country to further avoid it...something that XVIII shouldn't be doing at all if he was in that situation...something that I needed to make sure of.

Eventually, I did HIM. He learned that when it happened, the best was to endure it through; kept still, kept silent instead of whimpering and signaling those who were overpowering him of his fear or any negative effect it had on him.

...Little did I know that it would lead 'De' to completely lose interest in females and also developed genetic sexual attraction; at first after I tried reading psychology-related book belonged to my second daughter who is a doctor, it suggested 'De' might have the 'Electra Complex' but later I dismissed it. After all he isn't a female and there was no sign of him despising his own mother...

At last, he found the perfect substitute of me in the former 'XIX'.

...

When I received the news about what happened with the disappearance of 'De', my heart was breaking. Stupid 'ordinary and innocent' people...they never learn from their mistakes, they got what they deserved - even us Zelersenburgs DO learn from mistake, though that -mistake- is not even literally OURS.

I knew the Government now shifted their attention to Karl-heinz, trying to make him a -spare part- for the vacant position of 'De'. He could very well operate as a strategist for the army, but still needs some certain pointer and certainly COULD NOT perform De's part in the field.

I NEEDED to step in. I couldn't let them ruin my nephew like that...

Thanks to all those medical information sources of my second daughter I could get my hands on and her answers to my questions; I -saw- some solution that could remedy the situation. The solution that's called 'Stem cells'.

I would stop at nothing...to save Karl-heinz right now was the least I could do for my son. 'De' must have been dead already; if not he would never just walk away leaving Karl-heinz alone like this. I wouldn't expect that, by this decision, I'd lessen my sin. If not, it would only be increasing, a hundred, a thousand times worse...

Hundreds of dead fetuses that wouldn't stay long enough to be born weren't worth as much as a single alive baby successfully born...especially since they wouldn't be my sons but just the smaller version of ME. The army of my own so-called 'younger twins' would be a 'sacrifice' in order to return myself to the position 'De' left.

It took a couple of years to process, but finally, I got my youthfulness back.

I came back to my family, the side which depended on me more than my own family I created with Maria. The estate that is a home to Dieter and Marcus...has never been a home for me. It so far only served as a 'place to stay' whenever I came to Germany for the military duty.

Truthfully, this is the first time I actually -live- in the country of my ancestry.

My so-called Uncle whom I never met was a part of the reason WWII happened, my Father didn't want to have anything to do with the belief his older brother foolishly being led on to commit humanity crime. Because my 'Uncle' had a rather high position back then, my father was pretty much left alone though he wasn't cooperated with them.

Eventually, my Father and Mother fled and exiled in southern Spain. Dieter was the only one who born in Germany; I and Marcus in Spain. Three of us grew up there, but surely under the influence of German government keeping an eye on us, always let us knew that our lineage had a 'debt' to be repaid to the nation.

It wasn't until Mother passed away that us, minus me, decided it was time to move back and get settled where we 'seemingly' actually belonged.

Yet...it looked like I wasn't the only one who feels estranged with this place...

Why is he even here? Shouldn't he run back as quick as he could with tail between his legs once my youngest son isn't here anymore?

What irony...I spent years forgetting about him, erasing whatever trance that would link him back to us and vice-versa. Yet...'De' brought him back, just like that.

Was I wrong that it would be safer for him just to blend in with the Americans, becoming one of them? Apparently 'De' saw it opposite; being typical American citizen within the grasp of American government, who would know if someday they somehow learned about our connection and just grabbed and interrogated him? Governments are known to do something like that from time to time. If only they faked evidence to make it legitimate to do so, who can stop them and protect him? Not that 'family' of his for sure...

...Maybe we were both paranoid for no reason. All these 'what if' circumstances that no human could possibly know which, even if any, would become true...'De' might be wrong, I might be wrong, both of us could be wrong...that no one would care to harm 'XIX' at all. Things that we did, thinking they would be a way to prevent bad things from happening...could actually be a source of another disaster.

Just like 'De' and what I did to him.
