Grim Reaper of the Afterlife

The scent of death filled the air as the eerie whispers echoed throughout the darkness. It seemed that fear itself became the main enemy in these unknown places. However, despite the fear, the howls of agony and the piercing darkness, there was a creature. A creature of great power to guide those who faced death to the afterlife. Decisions were made for those who passed on.

"Death is unavoidable. It captures the toughest and strongest within its grasp. However, seeing you have moved on, I will give you two choices," the young, black paralix stood as he peered down the young soul who was yet to begin journey, "I, if you do not know, am the Grim Reaper of the Afterlife."

The young soul trembled. The tall, black paralix, whose spectrum markings glowed in great radiance continued to stare, waiting for the answer. The young soul took a deep breath, "W-what are the two choices?"

The paralix stood unmoving, his tail swaying back and forth, he answered, "I shall give you the choice of either living in the bright skies far above from here, the spiteful flames deep down below here or...the choice to experience life once again."
