Intro
Nidria had it all. A loving husband, steady income, dream job. Her life was just short of being a fairytale. However things change and Nidria realised that soon enough.

Story
Nidria was sitting at her desk playing with her bouncy blonde locks of hair while working the normal nine to five shift. She was desperate to get home. It was her 23rd birthday and she was ready to celebrate with her favourite person. Her husband Richard.

It was about two o'clock in the afternoon when Nirdrias' phone began to wriggle across the desk. It was Richard. She answered the phone in delight. "Richard" she said giggling like a little school girl, "I am at work! You're going to get me in trouble!" She didnt really care if she got in trouble but it seemed like the correct thing to say in situations like this. Richard explained to her that he had a surprise for her and Nidrias smile grew into a large grin. Nidrias boss walked up behind her. Nidria dropped her phone in shock of being caught and went all flushed. "You can go home Nidria, go and celebrate" Her boss said kindly. "Make sure to keep me a piece of cake mind" She smiled and walked off.

Her day couldnt get any better if she asked it too. She was getting home early from work plus a surprise from her beloved that she knew could only be special. Was it roses? Or tickets to her favourite show. Or even better yet, was he going to whisk her away to Paris? She grabbed her bag from under her desk and dashed off to her car day dreaming of what surprise awaited.

It didnt take her long to drive home. It was a quiet and clear day. It was like everything was in her favour. Nidria shut the door of her car quietly and walked up to pure white doors of her house. She turned cold metal handle and allowed the door to open with ease. She walked in as quietly as she could but could not help the echoe of the marble as the heels of her white shoes hit the floor. She scanned the hall way with her innocent, bright blue eyes in hope of catching a glimpse of her husband. After seeing nothing she shut the door quietly behind her and followed the echoes up the spiraling stair case. "Richard." She called hopefully. She couldnt help but smile as she said his name. Her curiosity grew with every step she took.
"Up here darling" His soft voice sang its way down the stairs and met her half way.
Nidria bit her lip and ran up the stairs as fast as she could. As her feet reached the landing she couldnt help but smile. "Where are you?" she called after him. However he failed to reply. Nidria giggled to herself thinking that he must be fixing out her surprise. She tip toed over the soft cream carpet of the hall way to her bedroom door. She shut her eyes and opened the door. When she opened them she could not believe what she was seeing. Instead of being met with a loving smile and a bouquet of her favourite flowers, she was met by a beast.
Richard lunged for her. Nidria in panic made a run for it. As she reached the stairs that she had climbed with happiness and curiosity she began to descend down them in fear as she clung to the banister. Richard followed her and grabbed her long blonde hair. Pulling her back up the few stairs she run down with no remorse. He tore at her hair as Nirdria squeeled in pain. Nidria was lying on the carpet trying to escape but just as she thought she was breaking free he grabbed her neck. His huge hands held her tightly. Nidria turned to look at him and as she looked into his eyes she couldnt find the man that she had fell in love with. Nirdria pleaded him not to hurt her as she attempted to break free of his grip. The more she pleaded the tighter he held her delicate white neck. She could feel the air escaping her and unable to breath she slowly gave up her fight. Tears fell from those large innocent pleading eyes as she shut them. Richard still held her small neck harshly as he watched her die by his hand.

Nidria lay there lifeless, her face that was so full of joy and happiness was now cold. Her rosey red cheeks had now faded and were pale white. Richard loomed over her and picked up her lifeless body as if she was a rag doll. He chucked her down the stairs and smirked. He walked step by step down the stairs and took a seat on the bottom step. He watched Nidrias body as if it was doing tricks. Pleased with his work he picked up the phone and dialed 911.
"Help" he pleaded " My wife, she, she has fell down the stairs. What should I do?" he cried down the phone frantically. People didnt give him enough credit for how well he acted.

The ambulance arrived and removed Nidrias body however her spirit still remained at the scene of her death. Nidria was pronounced dead at the scene with a broken neck from falling down the stairs. It was an accident.

A week following her death Nidria was buried. She attended her own funeral. Something she never thought would happen. She watched Richard play his "Its all my fault" card. The anger inside her boiled. How could he have done this too her? She wished she could put him in that hole instead of her. From that moment on she promised herself she would reap her revenge and be given a straight answer of how he could do such a terrible, sick thing. Why should she be stuck in constant pain as he walks as free as a bird.

Nidria still resides at the scene of her death. The cream carpets and white furnishing of her home are now a murky grey, growing ever darker the more powerful Nidria grows. The atmosphere is heavy and full of screams of pain. Nidria sits on the stairs and watches the once white door of her home waiting on her husband returning.

She will not allow any families to settle in her home. She does everything in her power to drive them out. She makes sure of that. The house shall remain empty as she knows that one day Richard will walk through those doors once again. And when he does she will be ready and waiting. She will have the strength in her to make him feel just as much pain as he caused her, if not more. Once he returns he will never leave and once she has her answers then Nirdria will be free. But until then. She waits and she waits and she waits.
