Victory! Victory at last! We are one. Never have I seen such a magnificent sight as this; Prussians from all parts putting their differences aside and marching into battle together. This is my legacy. I, Otto von Bismarck, have found a way to unite our country. I shall never forget this feeling.

What is this? How dare that Wilhelm make me resign!? Doesn't he see that the layout of our country is still fragile? I have been laying out a careful web of policies since Germany became one, and now he rips me from my position and tries to rapidly expand to "protect" he says our "place in the sun". Does he not see what he's done? He's is going to destroy my life's work. At least I lived to see our unification. I hope that I may be able to leave this world with the image of a strong Germany fresh in my mind's eye...

I gave Wilhelm my final warnings almost one year ago... Pray he hears them. He may not continue to rule strongly like this for much longer. Illness and age plagues me. Goodbye world, I shan't be here much longer.

What has happened to our world? I confronted death, taking my last breath with the comfort of knowing that Germany was one. And now look at this. The world is in chaos. Europe is shattered. And more importantly my beautiful Germany has been split into four pieces, torn like a piece of bread being shared amongst starving men. Katherina brought me back here for a reason. Something must be done. I united a country once before, and somehow I must find a way to do it again. But this time it shall not be just for my country, it shall be for the good of all humankind. This madness must be stopped.
