My name is Lasair. It's old Irish for Blaze, which is very suiting when you're aware that the whole world's on fire.
Don't you see it?
Can't you feel it burning all the time?
Everything is alight and all the people just stand around staring at each other like nothing's wrong. One day those flames are going to swallow you up whole, but damn if I won't try to fight it.

Lasair is another ruined experiment of the Riot Technologies corporation - the same corporation that created Riotec. In that sense, they really are brothers. When Riot-Tech tried to engineer Lasair, they attempted to mend the mistakes they made in creating Riotec. However, since Rio had destroyed much of their documentation when he made his escape, they were not fully able to ascertain where each individual step may have gone wrong. They hoped that by harnessing alternative sources of power rather than dark matter, they might be able to achieve a more stable and controllable subject.
They were wrong.
Lasair instead took on the traits of fire, proving to be extremely volatile and incredibly quick to decide and act. He too was able to escape Riot-Tech headquarters, but he did it so quickly and smoothly as to have left no trace without the path of destruction that Rio left. Lasair was found by Daigeil, flitting around Veta Lake and setting fire to anything in his path in a fit of anxious confusion. Daigeil offered him safety and a home, and Lasair followed. Lasair has mild pre-cognition, but his constant plaguing images of the world being on fire sometimes block this ability. Lasair truly believes we're all in great danger, but thinks he will be safest with his new family.
