She comes from a fashionable family. Her grandmother was the first to dare combining red gingham with a pleated skirt specially designed to make a moving woman's legs look good in motion. Her father's patented kid leather suits have been worn by men whose annual worth is in the billions and her mother designs custom jewelry inspired by the patterns on the wings of exotic birds. Her brother started coming up with unique tie patterns at seven and has long since partnered with their father to keep men rushing in the door to buy.
Airian was never content to settle into just one specialty. One week she madly sketches cute summer dresses while the next will see her shaping bracelets that resemble the signs of the zodiac. When she assembled the signature looks for her first line, her concept art was a full package deal. Her model was not there simply to demonstrate the brilliance of a flashy low-cut dress or a pair of rock star heels. Everything from the custom skull and rose hair pin to the studded mini skirt and faux fur-lined boots was her own design. She set out to make the pieces of Impargo edgy enough to draw the young crowd yet functional in the right combinations to impress managers looking to hire those first-time employees. Fashion and function should be in harmony, not at odds.
She could have used the many connections of her parents to get a foot in the door but she never wanted it said that her success was handed to her by the prior generation. Airian submitted her sketches to a youth designer competition under a pen name, winning over a line entitled "Zanity" by a very narrow vote margin. Even her flashy pink logo made it through the scrutiny of the art critics. It was half a year later that Impargo hit store shelves for the first time.
The line's versatility won over teens and adults alike. Local stores placed the boldest pieces at the front of their teen displays while dresses and skirts with more neutral colors and patterns found welcome shelf space in the women's section. The Impargo Candy Dandy bracelets sold out in a matter of days. The Suave Supreme skirts were snatched up, even the odd sizes that almost never seemed to sell.
Airian soon found herself expanding, exploring patterns that women would typically avoid, inventing new cuts and pleats no one else had thought to try. Nothing could make her day better than to see a woman she didn't know in one of her outfits.
She gets bolder with each passing year as her star continues to rise. She is not content to focus on just one group. Everybody should be able to feel beautiful and look good, no matter what their body type. She has expanded into plus size and petite lines and has just recently taken an interest in clothing for children. She also has Harmoni, a line that is gender-neutral. There is not a color she will not try to work with and she never turns down a challenge.
