Personality: Shugo is a rather almost child-like when it comes to his personality. Even though he was raised by the Corporation to be a weapon, Shugo couldn't help but desire something more, he begun to feel guilty for hurting things.. and try as they might, Menian could not erase this from Shugo's personality. Due to obligation he still does kill for them, he just doesnt enjoy it. He is fairly oblivious and naive to the world, he doesn't know how to act in front of other people but enjoy's seeing them interact. He loves the sky, so can often be found lazing around under a tree in the shade looking at it. He also likes to cook, but is dreadful at it, so it usually ends in the destruction of many kitchen instruments and the kitchen in general.

Talents: Shugo was named a genius in fighting at the age of five, he was skilled in every aspect of it. The best when it came to firearms, and the worst with blades. Though even at his worst, he was considered lethal. Shugo was trained to perfect his skills in fighting until the age of 16, where he was sent out into the world to do his part for the corporation.

Lifestyle and History: Shugo, or Number 514, was raised from an early age to become a soldier for the Menian Corporation. He was an orphan who was adopted by Menian due to his advanced speed and reflexes. Menian does this quite often as a method of appealing to the public, adopting helpless orphans and giving them a home. The Menian Corporation is a basic 'men-for-hire' corporation that specializes in armed forces and basic mercenaries. Since they did this for so many children, they didnt bother to name them, only give them numbers.

They first used him as an assassin, and he was the best, but he began to regret harming others and it mentally tore him apart to do his job.. So much so that it began to affect his performance. Shugo became ashamed to be the company's biggest jewel, and their biggest disappointment, so promised he'd change. However, this change was only him bottling up his emotions on the inside, which ended badly when he finally snapped and killed 7 of his co-workers while on a mission. When other Menian staff arrived on scene, they simply saw him surrounded by their corpses and holding a little Japanese girl who couldn't be older than 6 and was clinging to him desperately.

They were going to remove the girl from Shugo and put him in a detention facility, but when they went to remove the girl she became frightened and cried out to Number 514, "Shugo!!". The leader of the staff, Tyler, halted the men in that instant, he knew that Shugo translated from Japanese to mean 'Guardian'. He was confused as to why the little girl would call such a destructive man a Guardian, so he asked Shugo what happened. Shugo gave no response, his facial expression was a mixture of torture, regret, and over flowing emotion of the likes they had never seen in the normally quiet and expressionless boy. Tyler had first thought this was simply insanity, but after a closer look, Shugo was completely sane, he even began to move the girl behind him in a protective manner, as if they were the threat.

Even though number 514 couldn't speak, the girl could, so Tyler moved onto her, figuring at such a young age she would be honest and her opinion unbiased. When he asked the little girl what happened, she poked her head out from behind 514's back and answered instantly. After struggling to understand her rapid Japanese, Tyler managed to find out that during the mission one of the men had spotted the little girl and her brother and had considered them a security risk and wanted to kill them, and 514 stopped him. 514 had claimed the two children would have no idea what was going on and wouldn't remember anything if they just knocked them out, death was unnecessary. The two got into a fight, and regardless of 514's protests, the man shot the boy, and killed him. This sent 514 into a fury that the little girl described as if he was demon, he killed all of the men, not just the guilty man. He ran to her brother and attempted to bring him back, but it was an instant death for the poor lad. 514 mourned the boy, then mourned his fallen comrades who he had killed in a blind rage who had been innocent, but did not regret killing the man who killed the boy.

Tyler took this information, then after a few months in detention, he sent 514 into the body guard division and gave him the code name 'Shugo'. Tyler told Shugo he should never forget that situation with the girl, so that if it happened again, he would know to take the enemy out before they killed anyone. Shugo now enjoys his life as a body guard as he typically spends months with the person he is protecting and it sends him to foreign lands where he can explore to his hearts content, he also finds it easier to harm others if he is protecting something.

Minion: Shugo once saw a cat going after this poor injured Smilla and managed to chase the cat off and protect the small bird. He then tended its wounds and took very good care of it until it healed, feeding it some seeds and leaving it water to bathe and drink out of. The bird had damaged its wings, so couldn't fly very well, so often climbed onto Shugo's shoulders to get around. Shugo didn't mind this and grew accustomed to having the bird with him. After it healed he expected it to leave, but it didn't. He was teased for being such a large guy and having such a small and cute pet, but he truly treasured the Smilla's company. However, Shugo isnt incredibly creative, so gave it the name White, after the color of its feathers.
