Geo is a representation of a man who suffers from a very real mental illness, with a very real treatment: K9 therapy. One of the best foundations I've discovered on my study for Geo is the K9s For Warriors foundation! K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11. Their goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. Not only does this foundation help improve the lives of those suffering from PTSD, BUT they also save one more life in the process: every single dog provided for these men and women were at one point abandoned and at the risk of euthanization.
