"A Skitty!" His mother shrieked.
"A Skitty!" His father scoffed.

"It's the one I want," Aidan said, stubbornly, arms folded. His hair fell neatly across his forehead, framing strong brows, his face a mask of determination. Mother rolled her eyes whilst Father frowned comfortably, for his wrinkles were deep-set in his face.

"You'll have a fire-type, and that's final."

Needless to say: it was not final. Aidan's first Partner Pokemon was a Skitty after all - to his parents' disdain.

In actuality, having a Skitty proved something of a challenge: all the Kitten Pokemon ever did was chase its' tail and sleep. Aidan would drag that Skitty all over town, but it would not obey him at all. It just wanted to sleep.

One day, Aidan caught a Buneary in the forest. As they made fast friends, she soon evolved. Lopunny proved a successful battling companion.

Between Lopunny's high jump kicks and graceful punches, something stirred in her teammate. The Skitty grew increasingly interested in the thrill of battle.

Now, along with his Ursaring, the team are proving fierce competitors. Aidan's goal is to display the strengths of normal-type Pokemon in battle and in doing so, win back his parents' approval.

Aidan's family are endlessly irritated by the fact that he doesn't pursue battling with fire-types. Particularly unimpressed with Aidan is his father, a renowned fire-type expert.
