Melman
Melman (MEL-mun) is a floppy-eared, socially-challenged kanis living in Ziara City who spends his time repairing computers and is often missing spare parts.
Biography
The bubbled city of Ziara on Atebus is literally a paradise for those Subetans that are drawn to technology. Some people, however, take this fascination to a whole other level, devoting all of their time and money to building and tinkering with these electronic devices. One of the most well-known electronics enthusiasts in all of Subeta is Melman, a mild-mannered kanis more commonly known as the Computer Geek.
Ever since his teenage years, Melman had a very strong passion for technology, namely computers. He just loved to sit in his bedroom-turned-lab all day and tinker away the hours, building computers out of scratch only to dismantle them and rebuild until he modeled them to perfection. Needless to say, Melman the Computer Geek was not exactly the most social kanis, though this self-chosen lifestyle of isolation did have its benefits. Word got out about how completely perfect Melman’s computers were, and he soon had a lucrative business going. People all across Subeta would travel to his workshop on Atebus just to purchase one of his modern masterpieces.
If you were to visit the Computer Geek hoping to purchase a computer today, however, you would be quite disappointed. After several years of selling his wares at such a high price, Melman was able to retire at a very young age. He now spends his days fixing up old computers for pleasure, though he still welcomes visitors with open arms.
