🐛Duplicate Quest Prevention System! Kumos Bug Fix

Fixed a rare but serious bug where users could end up on multiple quests simultaneously. This was causing quest tracking inconsistencies where users would have one quest showing normally and another "ghost" quest that couldn't be completed or cancelled properly:

  • Users should now only ever have one active quest at a time, ensuring quest tracking works reliably!

The gameplay of [Wheelie Life](https://wheelie-life.io/) focuses on realistic balance physics. Players hold wheelies across rough and shifting terrain. Each mistake carries immediate consequences. Smooth reactions preserve control. Long rides require concentration.

@Foghawk Those are great comments -- and let me check into your specific issue

I'm not sure whether this is the same bug, a different bug, or a new bug introduced by fixing this bug, but I seem to be stuck in a Maybel quest or quests.

The quest tracker box showed new items, but the "Required Items" displayed on the quest page were from the previous quest, as was the time remaining. Both giving up and completing the quest appeared to work normally—except that they didn't advance the 'quests completed' counter and didn't deactivate the quest; it still shows up as "Active" and I can't start any other quests.

Clicking 'complete' from the quest tracker box instead of the quest page appeared to complete the quest with the new items instead of the previous items, and having done so the quest tracker box displayed those items as "Turned In", but the quest is still active and the box still appears. The midnight rollover had no effect. Once time ran out I got the "Time's Up" message, but "Try Again" still doesn't deactivate the quest; ditto "Quest Expired" and "give up" from the tracker box. I can't do Kumos quests at all now.

This may be related to having accidentally clicked the "Start New Quest" or "Complete Quest" button multiple times.

(Are you married to single-quest statefulness, by the way? I've always done my legacy quests in parallel and it makes them a lot less time-consuming. I was OK at first with not being able to do this on Kumos, because having so many fewer quests made up for it, but since the most recent additions the total time requirement is now similar. Is this constraint mainly about the tracker box—which seems useful if you don't like new tabs but which I never touch—or is there other internal logic that depends on it?)

This has been a fairly consistant issue for a few weeks now, it feels like. It's like the NPC's get fixated on a particular item or two, the demand goes up by a lot, and then the supply fails to keep up, creating a shortage of said item, which leads to price increases. Hopefully Keith can fix it soon, maybe after the holidays? A price cap that would deter quest givers from asking for items that are priced over a certain amount would be great...

That's really great to hear!
