I understand that using Kumos is optional, though site staff is still informing users that "everything on Kumos is still in Beta" (not just marked features) and that thus there is no compensation for any errors here.

Further, this does not address my question or concerns.

You said "quest completions" and "I reset quests". When I tried to clarify if that was just Beta Kumos quests or if it was supposed to have been all quests, you told me that only Kumos will be getting "updates" going forward - which (if this is an answer to my question) strongly implies that Holiday Quest Items and Quest Resets are viewed as "updates" which will no longer be available. Is that not what you meant to say?

(also sorry for the double-post earlier - the FIRST post hadn't even appeared when I tried again the next day, and I didn't know either of them had ever posted until you replied. See: Topic: Kumos Forums: Can't Submit Comment)

@krae I reset the quests because the prizes being given (snow fairies) are only happening on Kumos. That is a bonus set of quests you can do daily, 95% of them extremely profitable.

Because i changed the prizes for kumos quests, I reset the quests on Kumos, so that people who'd already done them could do them again. I didn't change the prizes on legacy Subeta, why would I reset the quests there in the middle of the day?

Kumos features are marked as Beta when they're beta, e.g. the fishing feature has only been advertised that way and the standard feature (fishing) still exists on Subeta. You don't need to use the Kumos fishing feature, unless you'd like to help and give feedback. It's the same with the quests, right now they are in addition to the quests you can already do on Subeta, they are a bonus, and so if you would like to do them and give feedback that's great! And if not, you can wait until the legacy quests are fully replaced.

@Keith If quest resets and event items given out during quests are considered "updates" and will no longer continue on Subeta (except for those participating in beta testing), that seems like a major change that should be communicated to people who are paying to support the site which will no longer proide them expected (and especially) advertised benefits..

Just as a reminder, if we attempt to access these feaures on Kumos and something goes wrong, we are not entiteled to any recompense. This makes use of the Kumos Beta Test as a "main operational site" extremely sketchy, especially when asking for monetary support to do it.

@Keith I love you but I kind of think this should be published somewhere more visibly.

If support has ended for Subeta.net and Kumos.net is in beta and "use at your own risk", there is no version of Subeta that users can expect to work (or be compensated when it isn't)? And if usual, expected, Subeta.net features (like quest resets and event quest items) are no longer being pushed except on the beta test, that should also be communicated to users during one of the many holiday announcements. If Kumos features don't work, or steal your items, there is no compensation available "because beta". If I choose to stay safely on the site with Tickets, I will not be able to access usual, advertised features of many holiday events.

Further, does "No More Updates (such as quest resets)" also affect things like Crystal and Token shop fills: ie no more until they're on Kumos?
Keith STAFF
@krae Just the Kumos quests. The only area of the site that will get updates going forward will be the Kumos site.
krae
@Keith all quests, or just the beta quests on kumos?
Keith STAFF
I reset quests for everyone when this went out 💖
