Honestly, I really can't see why people are saying it looks like a completely new pet... I can see that the expression is a little different, sure, but what I see is a Montre that's been better drawn in less of an depressed mood.. I can't see a drastic change in the design of it at all.

o.O;; I've never really thought the montre looked sad or depressed or having any kind of deep emotion. It's always looked really vague and/or PO'd to me xD I really hope the new one gets used.. the whole new pet is just absolutely beautiful, and I really quite love the new expression.

the new look actually fits both mine and my friend's montres now, they look kinda sly and evil and i totally fell in love with the sun colored one, its so sexy now...and i dont think they look feminine in the slightest...they look more boyish than anything...and it kinda makes me think of Rurouni Kenshin...because it looks like a warrior or fighter or something like that...and i really really really want to see the arid one now! it'll be so sexy and Kritiker will be so awesome ^.^

The new one does have... a completely different atmosphere about it. Like people have said, it's a great drawing, and it does look a lot nicer, but it lacks that spacey dreamy look the old one has. :/

I personally dont think pers need revamps unless they seriously need them. The montre just got a revamp not too long ago and looked fine. The Pherret is the pets i think needs a revamp the most.

So, ya'll like to nit-pick. Lol. Too bad you can't edit your comments here- I merely wanted to say that <i>some</i> RPers <i>might</i> not be happy with the redraw. sigh True, most don't base their pet's personality off of looks alone, but in my RP circles the look of the pet aids to the personality quite a bit, at least in the beginning when you first get your pet. The look of a pet is what inspires me to write stories, RolePlay, etc. It always adds to the vibe of the pet.

I would just be mad cause, like someone said, it looks more girlish. Hiei is not girlish. I created a montre in the old way. It's kinda unfair to change it.

there is a mistake on the current sun montre i just noticed while looking at mine. the wing you see less of isnt colored dark red in an area under the hair on the top of his head its still grey
I agree with a lot of people here...the new montre is very well drawn, and its very nifty looking..but its just...not like a montre. I spent tons trying to get mine to its current appearance, and if its changed, I'll have to change his species simply due to the fact that it won't match the personality I've set out for him. It does look a little feminine, and it doesn't seem as depressed anymore..plus I think all of the redrawn pets lately seem very similar..all are almost chibi-fied and I personally like the simplicity. However, whatever the poll results say will go I guess, and theres not much those who don't like it can do, except live with it.
