Change of Plans!
As some of you may have read, the achievements associated with the mini gelatins were not recording the win counts correctly. A programmer looked into it and determined that it was not an easy fix and would take time to solve.
After weighing our options, we decided it was best to cancel the remainder of the gelatin war. Instead, we will be trying something new! This week, an assortment of opponents -- some old foes, and some new faces -- will appear to challenge you in the BC. Stay tuned!

Boo this sucks, but I was only at 300 anyway and very much doubt I would have got to 2500 :P

The battle admins and programmers are trying to fix the problem as best as they can, but to no avail. Rumors had it that the following exchange occured shortly before the achievement outage.

JujuPi, that's a lot of coding. Something can go wrong that could mess it up entirely. It's not their fault. Instead of making us wait for them to fix it, they want to bring old challengers back. This seems like a great idea and a very well thought solution for the problem. Don't you think they are great!?
in that case, i'll take the optimistic route and be sure to train hard in hopes of seeing the jellies again ;) hopefully the next time they show up, i'll be strong enough to take on the gelatin wizard.
We hope to have a gelatin war later this year! That all depends on if and when that achievement issue is fixed.
as long as we get them sometime this year it doesn't bother me too much I suppose. I'd rather fight some old/new opponents than a mini gelly onslaught tbh
Oh man. I was going to go all out against the Hydragellos, I was so excited about it. Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to fight some guys that we weren't strong enough to beat earlier!

will we be seeing the gelatins coming back later in the year at some point, or is this pretty much it for 2013? because if it was between having them show up at a very inopportune week in october or not seeing jellies until '14, then i'd definitely choose fighting jellies between midterms :P

We're just as disappointed as you guys are! I was looking forward to earning my maniacal essence this year. But I think you'll enjoy the replacement event. :)
