Terracoon Revamp
What\'s that noise out by your trash cans? Could it be something that goes bump in the night? Maybe it\'s Oscar looking for his next design inspiration? (And meal) Oh, it seems like the terracoon has gone in and come out with a brand new look! Not many creatures come out so snazzy after a trashcan raid, but these terracoons have it down to a fine art.

I think these are absolutely gorgeous- so much more character, and obviously the art and shading is stunning!
Haven't you just updated the Terracoon? I like this ones look even less than the last. Bring back the old happy Terracoon!
I'm definitely gonna have to get used to this update. The art is beautiful as usual, Rah, you really know how to bring life into things. I love seeing you revamp your old pets because I love seeing your improvement, and you always do such a good job!
The face is a little jarring to me but I know i'll definitely get used to it. I already am. My terracoon Garret was my second pet ever, so they're a really special species to me, and I'm so glad to see them getting love. You do really great things with them, Rah. :D

I don't care for the look on the new one's face. It looks like its personality did a complete 180. And it looks a lot more ragged than the old one, which looked like it would be soft to the touch. Oh well.

Of the two images in this news post, only the twilight one updated for me. It does look more like a real raccoon now.

Blip - I would have loved to redesign the whole thing from scratch and make it more raccoony, but then I'd have had to revamp EVERY other terracoon. With this revamp, the other terracoons are mostly safe! (And I don't know about you guys but I thought the old one looked really dead behind the eyes?! Like a glassy eyed taxidermy terracoon!)
Poor Rah, I think it looks really great. Small tweaks to keep the art updated and fresh is nice. :)

Just a note for those who might be thinking 'but there are so many other pets that need revamping!' - I just want you to know I may not be responsible for those pets, I can only work on the pets I AM responsible for! I'm doing a few little cleanups on my pets this year but it shouldn't be anything major :)
AND OH MY GOSH IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT IS TAKING A CRAP WHEN ANIMALS DO THAT THEY LIFT THEIR TAILS RIGHT UP AND SQUAT AND JUT THEIR HEADS FORWARDS SO AS TO CREATE A NICE ANGLE FOR EXITING. And that is the last time you will ever hear me talk about that.

The facial expression and shading are great, I just wish the tail had details like it's mohawk thing.

This is a HUGE improvement, both artistically and in the character department. Love the new terracoon.
While I think the old one needed a shading update, I think the slightly changed pose and expression of this new one kinda looks like the terracoon's trying to take a crap. :x
I was about to complain that there are more urgent revamps to do..

Was I alone in thinking the old ones looked really, really dated, then? I think these are a massive upgrade; love the fur texture and the fierce little grin.
I think by going a bit more realistic with the designs, they're alienating people who prefer a more whimsical design like me. Still, I'd like to see Dillema get a revamp some day. He could use a bit more detail in his design.
I never had a problem with its old design, but if they wanna revamp, then they'll revamp.

They look like they have more of a dog body now? Idk. And THE FACE. NOOOoo. :( I loved how sweet they looked before.
Why can't most of the pets get revamps like this? Just an upgraded shading and not a total overhaul :(
that is what i love about this site always making changes for the better and the artists here are excellent they make the pets here look so real and adoreable
