We listened to your feedback and altered the way that the new Gift Wrapping center works! You can now attach up to 5 gifts per box!
Gifts also no longer go into your inventory, but collect on a gift listing page where you can see all of the gifts you\'ve received and never have to worry about losing a message again!

Ok what about the items that stocked in the holiday shop? Do they stock in the other main shops now?
New gifting system isn't recognized when doing Major Drill Quests, you dont get credit for giving a gift, and the gifting action wont complete task of giving gift.
One problem - the gift item and message stay stuck at the top, so after you've looked at the first line or two of gifts you have to scroll up and down for each gift to see what you've gotten. Pretty annoying when you're getting dozens of gifts for the achievement. Can we have the gift popup scroll with the page?
I liked the old way of sending gifts. Having to pay just to send someone a gift, plus the gift itself, ti makes no sense. What was wrong with the old way? I don't think I will use the gift center anymore, It is always more fun opening up a gift, and seeing the notification and gift box in your inventory, but to have to PAY for this, ridiculous. From now on, I am just going to send the items straight to my friends.
Um, ChibiStraws--we've rereleased seasonal items every holiday since in one way or another. The luminaire ones are currently restocking in stores like Quick Bites, The Bake Stop, Icy Goods, etc. For Alegarten they were placed into a special shop. I don't understand your concern, all of the items have found or will find homes when it comes time for their event.
Some of the changes are nice - having access to all wrapping papers, including Morostide ones - is awesome, and I think the concerns about Morostide wall papers being used during other holiday seasons could be made an option to alleviate that concern (like a check/uncheck to include them for the random). The cost is not bad for either random or selected for the casual gift giver, but a sliding scale for selecting the paper per number of gifts would be a good tweak, especially considering the gifting events that people hold. I really like being able to add five items to one box on the whole. Someone mentioned a drop down for friends, like if you were just sending an item to a friend from the Inventory screen, and I think that would be another excellent tweak. I just don't see the necessity of having to close the holiday shop... then again, I'm still ridiculously bitter over the Graveyard shop! Such is life!
I believe the issue being so carefully dodged by the staff is: What happens to all the seasonal items that were in the holiday shop, now that they've gotten rid of it for the sake of getting rid of wrapping paper, of all stupid things. They still haven't said a single thing about that, and it's a very valid question.
Wonderful in every aspect. Really love being able to see who gave me what in a special area! Multiple gift in one package is a wonderful item. Great job Subeta!
Re: getting sp for wrapping paper. Click on wrapping paper in inventory, use wrapping paper, get credited 10000sp. Simple!
I wasn't sure how I felt about the first change (it's one I could live with, I'm sure), and I haven't tried this out, but this sounds like a splendid improvement. Having up to five gifts in one box means sending gifts on Luminaire should go swiftly, and it sounds like it'll be neater/cleaner this way! I look forward to trying it out soon, once I have more time for the site this week!
This is amazing! A perfect solution to the gifting problems and I adore the gift messages feature.! Are the gift achievements going to add each item in a box as an individual item/gift or does each /box/ just count as one?
You didn't listen at all. What are we to do with all of our wrapping paper? Couldn't you at least make the service free if you already have the papers available? Oh and these prices are still insane. e_e

wow some people are being rude. They have been trying to fond a way to made a bulky awkward system easier to deal with.. yeah so what, I hoarded wrapping for two years. If what i read is correct we get credited for wrapping paper in out inventory.. not sure how that works but hey. Try being grateful they are attempting to streamline the system.. not perfect.. but hell of a lot easier. Kinda miss the holiday shop.. but oh well.. changes happen. makes it simpler.
STILL an idiotic idea. Get rid of an entire shop and it's seasonal items just to get rid of wrapping paper? thunks some people on the head You still have any brain cells rubbing together in there?!

I looove these new changes. Thank you so much! Just one suggestion: It would be lovely if you could add a dropdown list of friends on the sending page. I'm always afraid of typing a friends name wrong! Thanks for all you do! ♥️
That is an awesome improvement, thank you for listening on the gift bag idea! Since 5 are allowed, maybe it should be 200/1500 per item now. Higher up on the priority list though for me, is whether any adjustments can be made to the random option. Perhaps taking out non-seasonal, or tiering different types of wrap, or just charging a bit more (300/item or 1500 total) to narrow down the wraps being chosen from (all blue, all snowflake, all morostide). That would make this change a purely positive one. ^_^

I wonder why everyone is complaining about the costs of the new system.
There are wrapping papers included that went for so much more than the price you have to pay now.
If you have a small item that is not "worth" spending 7,5k, you can still send it directly to the user without wrapping it.

So are we no longer able to put gifts under peoples' trees? Certainly hope that is not true since Christmas or Luminaire and the idea of opening gifts is on the 25th of December.
YESSSSSS!!! I submitted this idea about a year ago and it was very well agreed with. I waited and waited.... and here we are! thank you so much for listening to us about this idea!!!
I like the new additions, but I'd still rather just see one price point. IRL if someone's offering giftwrapping (whether you pay or not) you usually get to choose, if there is more than one paper. It's a very artificial differentiation between the two options, and this still makes anon gifters pay more to choose their wrapping, discouraging some of them.

Honestly it'd not that much of a price difference IF you go with the random wrapping. It's just 1k you can make 24k or so within on game of Matlal's Jewels. The 7.5k one is if you want to customize it. Turning in just one thing of wrapping paper can get you enough for 10 different gifts.

Wait is this in response to people being upset about effectively raising the price of wrapping paper by a substantial amount? Because this does nothing to resolve that. Maybe people were really vocal about a way to send multiple gifts and I'm mistaken but if this is to address the massive price increase, it just looks like staff went really far to hide the fact that they didn't solve anything, and are now patting themselves on the back for "listening to feedback."
This still doesn't really solve the problem. I don't always have 5 items to gift to someone. So when I'm gifting someone one item i have to pay the price of 5. This does not address the problem at all when you think about it. It would have been easier to just lower the price instead. This whole 5 items per box does not make any sense to me at all because i doubt someone will always have 5 items to give a friend all at one time. Lowering the price to equal the current price after 5 gifts have been sent would make the most sense and be the same price anyway. But I guess I am the only one who thinks this way.

I'm so glad all the feedback was listened to for the gift center. It's great now and the prices are very fair! :)
@Keith one more question - is it still a flat rate of either 1k or 7500 depending on how many boxes you add or will you have to pay per box no matter how many you add (up to 5 at one time)?
sounds good..but is anon gifting no longer allowed because of this change(havent gone to test it myself yet)..and as many others have asked..what about the genetech combos that use wrapping paper?

I love this! I always lost the messages and was not sure who the gift was from. GREAT work Subeta!!
hhhhhmmmmmm....... This seems like a fir compermise for gifting.... I still liked the old system better where I can buy and use my own wrapping paper..... still not sure what is going to happen to the gen tech paper once its gone its gone :/
I really like that we can re-view old messages. I always feel really bad when I miss a message for an anon gift. D:

Jive - Nope. We might eventually move it down to giving 7,500sP (or however much the feature costs) but for now it'll stay 10,000.
I LOVE that you can send multiple gifts! Also, I just like the new system in general.

Much much MUCH better - also agree with Amelia, would be ace to see the gift boxes as they will be not the wrapping paper image
I think this is a great improvement, thanks! I like to send outfits as gifts so this definitely encourages me to use the gift wrapping center now. :) And being able to see gifts you've received on a single page will be really handy.
So we have to buy the paper each time we want to send a gift... what about the wrapping paper we got stocked up, what happens to it?
Oh there's just something else that doesn't seem to be working - I want to send multiples of the same item to someone (and I do have them all in my inventory) but only one of each type of thing is showing on the "choose an item" page :x

At the expense of sounding like a grudgy bleep, I'm still not 100% happy with yesterday's (price) changes. BUT THIS IS PRETTY AWESOME OKAY (i've got to gift spam some people now) And I won't have to screenshot my messages anymore to save it? Yay!

DarkVixen28 - You have to pick them up first :) The first time you open the box the items go into your inventory, after that you can view the message for as long as you'd like.
Hurray! I like multiple gifts per box. I used to struggle with what to write on each box when I was sending several gifts.
The only thing that would make this better would be a revamp on the oldest giftboxes/wrapping papers :P

Thank you so much! This is a whole lot better. The only thing I suggest is putting the actual preview of the already wrapped boxes instead of the wrapping paper items there! I much rather see how my gifts will look like wrapped and not the items.
The gift listing thing sounds cool. You can go back and look at stuff. Are the items just going to appear in our inventory or will we have to go pick them up, as it were, from the gift center? I can see them just randomly appearing in inventories going so so wrong. Especially for people in the middle of moving a mass amount of items at once. :/

This is not a bad idea at all. I simply wish they'd instituted it before December started to give ppl time to get used to it & get all the kinks ironed out.
Also I agree with those who said that if you pick random paper it would be nice if it were holiday themed or if you could check a button that said current holiday or birthday, in case someone's birthday is near the holiday & you don't want their b-day gift to be holiday wrapped.
I had a lot to turn in so paying 7500/gift is not problem for me but I agree with ppl who would like a lower price to choose their own paper. Giving us the option to put 5 in a box isn't the best idea in my opinion. How but when you were a kid, didn't you love opening gifts.
Wouldn't rather have 5 separate gifts to open? I know that I would,and I don't want to put more than one in a box most of the time, it's much more fun to send 3 or 4 wrapped gifts than to put them all in one box, that's just me, but then I'm old & old fashioned. We had magical Christmases when I was a kid & some gifts were under the tree displayed w/out being wrapped and set about the room since we weren't rich & had a medium sized area under the tree & not a huge house or living room, but it was fun to see the unwrapped gifts as well as to have a LOT to open & my folks went all out and got us a LOT since my mom loved Christmas & they had to charge a lot of it since my dad didn't make a much money but we were never hungry, or w/out good clothes or anything we needed. They made it work & we had a good life. Having lots of presents to open is fun!! (whoa, that's a lot of LOT's, lol)
