Fall Composting!
Head over to the Recycle Beast Composting Heap (say that five times fast...), and read further here for how this works.
The Recycle Beast is taking a lot of items, and you can easily browse and see what items you can expect the recycle beast to take. Hopefully this level of detail makes it easier for you to jump right in to features like this (and we'll continue to do this going forward!)
There are two trackers on the main composting page, the 🥇 solo and 🌎 community tracker. Each item you compost (maximum 50 per day) will count toward both of these trackers.
The composting heap prizes are also split into the two categories.
🥇 solo prizes are items, and you can choose the same item with each tier (50, 100, 250, 1000), or choose a different item. You can choose the book each time! I'm particularly excited for the 🌽
🌎 community prizes are attached to your account, and each redeemable once, but you can choose the order! Things like title bundles, avatar borders or a new category of cosmetic: Reactions!

I just composted 50 pumpkins and I guess when you hit the 1000 mark your pumpkins don't count?

Any way to not have to have us sign in separately to kumos and also expand the item list of what they will accept

Anyone else have issues with nothing working then suddenly it counts it all? Just got two of the same prize because nothing happened the first click. oops Also it doesn't seem to be counting today or the maximum is lifted today? Says I can recycle 50 more items even after recycling. Not that I'm complaining about that
So this closes on 11-17? Will it reopen some day? With the 50 per day limit not sure I can get what I want. Darn.
I've hunted high and low (both sites) in order to find a Kumos Thread for asking questions (and probably giving input - apart form the sidebar one), so I'm back to here.
Why am I logged out every morning, even though I checked "remember me". I put the composting page into my daily bookmarks but instead RB Compost, it only opens up as the log in page.

cause of small time I play under the week only on mobile and is really difficult to go compost. why I must login again, on mobile you no have place for so so many tabs like you have on computer. some buttons there no work. I think there is place to over work it to find a good functionality for all players. for those of us which no speak English well, what is that with the price ? can I take all or 1 at day or what ? you say we can give our tons of items we no need and than we can give 50 ?? you don't know how much is a ton ? 🤔 well done this but I know you can make it better

Having a lot of fun with this feature, thanks for putting it together! It's also really smooth and easy to use, the new site looks good.

I can't find it in the forums, but I have a question about the site layout in Kumos. When I change it, it gives a double header of the layout on Mobile. I also really loved my Pastel layout. What happened to it and will it be coming back? I find Kumoa is not mobile friendly atm, but I know it's still a wip (:

also keith im sorry that every time you try to do something with subeta/kumos you have to deal with what every IT person has to deal with in customer service. sometimes its not your fault, the customer can be wrong lmao [also testing if scode works on here!]
it seems i am in the minority on subeta. im not a hoarder so i dont have a billion morostide things to throw at the compost and i dont want every single solo prize so i just got the two i did want. i do like this new event, any sort of fun interactive thing on subeta is a win in my book. would people rather keith just abandoned subeta and let it die until payments for the servers stopped and we were left with nothing?
i am sad that with kumos, the old nostalgia of subeta will be gone, but i suppose we cant live in 2010 forever. ive been playing subeta since i was 13 and probably wont stop unless forced. im excited to see what plans are in the pipeline!!!

So if this is feature that's coming back does that mean that the food/pumpkins/plant items from this year's tot and patch pools will eventually be added to the list of items accepted?
i really like this feature, although i also don't like the cap of 50 per day. HOWEVER. i do appreciate that the feature will come back and that the goal of 1,000 solo contributed is very VERY obviously not meant to be completed all at once. that being said i think if i emptied my storage i think i could do it all at once but. i hope i am in the minority and not everyone is hoarding this much Event Items Just In Case.

We've been given the feedback before (by a lot of users) that the legacy layout has TOO much open space in the middle, especially on larger monitors, that it feels like pages are chaotic and having a "container" sized section that is always the same feels better. I'll see if I can dig up that feedback and reach out to the users still playing.
And yeah, it's not easy. We've tried this a few times before (how many new.subeta.net's have there been lol) but it's just impossible to keep the site running on the legacy "layout" and code base anymore. I do prefer the old site layout, mainly because it "fills the space" of my screen and the new layout just feels too narrow with the dimensions of the maximized window I have. Additionally, scrolling down in the forums actually cuts the top, I wanna say 10px, off the sidebar (really visible with the logo), but I'm unsure where to post it. (we have a lot of subforums and I actually rarely post in them)
But, I also definitely 100% understand and commiserate with the need to start from scratch and move the features over bit by bit. "upgrades in place" are already hard when you're doing it on a sane codebase. It is literally the kind of agony I'm dealing with at my job rn :)

@hannahharmin We will not be increasing the limit. You get to choose your items, so it's a matter of priority, and likely other users will not need the full five prizes (most users don't need multiple books, foods, etc) and you might be able to pick one up.
And I'll repeat that this feature (composting) will come back, these prizes will be available again. You'll have to prioritize the five that you want the most this time around.

@Thrifty It'll be new site (kumos) going forward, but as I've said multiple times here, please make a thread or reply to one with what you want. I can't work with "i like how it is", because, we have to move.
@BoaConstrictor The feature is for a limited time, it is intended to create choices so you have to choose which of the prizes you want. Not everyone on the site collects every type of item, and by the end of the event there may be extras for you to buy off people who don't want those items.
I've also said multiple times that this feature is coming back, these prizes will be available again in the future and you don't need everything immediately on your account. You will have an opportunity to get these items in the future.

AHAH! I've seen these in the wardrobe and was wondering when/who I'd be able to get my hands on them! Glad to see more festivities being added! Good thing I've been hoarding my extra Morostide items for years! XD

I know they capped the item limit because they don't want people buying all the pumpkins and items. I think 150 items per day would be more reasonable. You get that by battling.
I hope the Kumos site eventually gets the same layout as this one. It's also not mobile friendly and the layouts don't work.

You can recycle 50 items per day all throughout the day. But 50 items isn't enough.

I also need multiple copies of the same item. It's too bad you can only recycle ONCE per day. I find the limit silly.

I wish you stopped using this Kumos site. It often takes me 15-20 tries to get each page loaded there. And no, it isn't a DNS problem from my site.
Are you going to be raising the daily limits? I need multiples of these items. What happens when we get all the achievements? Can we still continue to collect rewards?

I found the culprit for my black BG Kumos: my Browser is in Dark Design (meant solely for my header, tab bar etc.)
Yet every other page - including Subeta, obviously, is displayed properly on a white BG.

I am unable to access the new site even on a different browser. Continuously get 'Server not found' errors.
is the kumos site just for testing ideas to implement here, or is everything going to be transferred to kumos? if so i really hope that subeta can somehow save this early internet petsite UI it has going on, one of the most charming things about subeta imo
I love this new feature but I also am bummed that I cannot collect more I need 2 of those minions ( 1 for my minion gallery n 1 for my sparkling water gallery)
I am a bit bummed that we can't have all the prizes if you want to collect for everything. The corn is both a wearable and a food (loved the design, btw), I have two pets I read books for... That's already four prizes for me, so I'll leave two other wearables/a minion on the table. I hope these prizes will be available some other time! I also agree with the comment about neopets point prize system... These are my only complaints. Overall, loved the activity and the collective prizes, also the individual and community reward idea ^^

Are these prizes going to be available during future compost events? And, do we no longer have the stickers as a reaction?
I've just turned in my second batch of 50 items for another book - and then realized, we can only get 5 altogether, which become more and more expensive on top!!! I had hoped to get just enough until November 17th on a daily basis! Not only is this a timed activity but also impossible to get enough items at an even higher than expected price. Now this gets a HUGE THUMB DOWN! What a bad setup!
I'm willing to work and pay even over a long time, but I don't want constant frustration because of completely unachievable goals!
