I love the Anyu. I apologize if this hasn't been said before, but the eyes make it seem a bit...chibi. I'd always imagined the Anyu with serious, almost stern eyes. The toesies do look a tad...small. xD But that's just my opinion! Kudos to the artist!
This is one of the few pet revamps that I truly, truly like.<br />

The art on this version is multitudes better, but i find that the feet look too small. I think it would help alot of the feet were a bit larger- he looks unbalanced right now, like his legs wouldn't actually be able to support his weight.
I really think some minor changes to the face would make it look less, well... feminine and a bit childish, like Mandy said. The brown lines above the curved ones just below the eyes (wow ton of prepositions xD; ) make it look for feminine to me. Example of no second-line things:<br />

I love the new Anyu - lots of people are saying it's too fat compared to the older Anyu - but I mean, have you people ever seen a real bear? They ARE fat... lots and lots of extra fur and skin... I think he's really really great. Nice work!!

This is something I was dreading, an anyu revamp. The art is good, I like the fluff, but think there should be less. I think it needs bigger paws and the coloured muzzle. I prefer the old one <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" />

Ya know, just a two cents side note, It tisn't a bear, it tis an Anyu guys. As most of the artist have said in the past, they shouldn't be compared to everyday animals for they are their own species. XD Just thought I would throw that in.
Oh, and... for the record, with the way we see the Anyu, I think it would look strange to add a tail in. I don't particularly like the tail on the old one.<br />

just one more thing to add my 2cents. I love the new tuff around the neck, but of course I love the teddy bear look myself, and after reading I did also notice he/she is missing the tail... I really love the new one, especially the bracelets and the eye markings, but it seems a tad...huge, if that is the right word for it. I also miss seeing the tail. but other than those two little erks, I love it. Kudos.
I couldn't decide which one to vote for (the old one is so cute, but the new one looks more like a real polar bear). In the end, I voted for the revamp. I really like the design on the bracelets and the overall furryness (even the fur on the neck), but I wish the snout was still brown. The head looks too white without it. The fur tufts on the cheeks also seem a little drastic compared to the rest of the fur on the revamp. Overall it's nice.
I really love the re-draw of the Anyu. I do agree that the bands should all be the same and that the eyes although very pretty are a little to girly for those of us who would like to have a male Anyu whos' Tough. I love what Cinn did with the relines I think that would really add to the re-draw. The only other things I think may need a little tweaking is the ears the seem a little off not sure how to explain what I mean but, they need to be turned. Ugghh I wish I could explain it better. but all in all I can't wait to see the redraws released I have been waiting to find the perfect pet to fill one of my last spots. nice red line on the front leg, i knew something about it was bothering me, but i couldn't put my finger on it. that leg always has the worst angle for workign with in my experience. it's damned hard to get right

Very nice job artists! Though it seems like Subeta has a problem with size and proportions. Erm... I think that's the word... Shifty eyes Anyway, the old drawing had big feat and a small head/body. While now the new one has a big head/body and small feet. X_x<br />

I absolutely LOVE the detail on this one. I always thought the old one was kinda... thin and... sick looking. This one looks more like the Spectrum or Reborn, both of which I love. Thanks to whoever drew this one (I think Rah said they did it). Great job!
I love this. The plumpness is great, the fur is much more realistic, and the facial expression is much more emotive than that of the previous design. However, the armbands and swirl patterns around the eyes make it look cartoony at best. It's also way too golden compass for comfort, slapping pretty gold bangles on your polar bear. And they don't even match, which is unforgivably lame. Especially if intentional.

This is a toughy for me. I like Anyus, even if I do not own one currently, and I'm kind of half and half on this revamp. On the one hand, I like how the right shoulder no longer looks dipped in oddly the addition of the patterns on the bands and eyes. On the other hand, I miss the patch of brown on the muzzle, which I believe was one of the species' more charming and distinctive features, the way the curvature of the ears is drawn it looks almost as if they're upside down, and I think it would look a bit better if a tiny bit of tail did still peek out over the rump. Also, as others have pointed out, if this revamp is intended to make this pet look more like a polar bear, then the stomach bulk could stand to be taken in just a bit and the paws should be bigger due to the fact that this is a creature that regularly traverses over deep snow and ice. I also think that that one line over the left shoulder is a bit excessive and takes away from the figure because it almost looks like a feather boa, which is not exactly becoming on an ursine. But, pose and facial expression wise, the artist did a good job preserving the spirit of the pet...the details just need some work.

I like it ^^ fluffy like a grizzly but the colour of a polarbear ^^ the back is alittle blank like something is missing though maybe adding the tail would fix it ^^

And I think the linear designs around its eyes and on its bracelets are great details. The smaller wings on its bracelets are very nice, too. ...however, the toes/paws look a little too small... The old version always confused me because it always looked like it was backwards and looking over its shoulder when in fact it was forward facing and I am glad that this is fixed in the redraw. The new version has beautiful anklets and eyes. Wow, this one looks LIGHT YEARS better compared to the last. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_heart.gif" border="0" /> ...however, my only suggestion is to put the brown marking/hood back on its nose. It feels really... awkward without it.
I love the new pattern around the eyes and the fact that it no longer has eyebrows.....I've never been keen on the bands around the legs. They remind me of steel traps. I voted for the new one but am not a huge fan of either.
I adore the chubbier version, it seems more realistic to me. I just think his face is too harsh, maybe a few more furry chunks like the body would remedy that.

I'm usually kind of a Subeta hermit and I don't ever post anything publicly, but I really, really think this is made of awesome, and I can't help it, I just have to rave about it for a second. <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> While I love the old anyu to death and will keep a place for it in my heart forever, I think this is a great revamp. Modifying its body to that of a chubbier creature makes me feel like Subeta's world is more than two-dimensional - still fictional, but with elements of a planet consisting of life in all shapes and sizes. It lends it greater contrast to the Chai, too, giving allusions to complex ideas such as evolution and Darwinism (and I hope that doesn't sound pretentious or anything, I'm just thinking out loud). A cartoon world is always fun, but an elaborate cartoon world is even better. And changing the small paw-wings to a sort of accessory/jewelry rather than part of its natural anatomy gives it a little more personality, I think... creatively it makes me wonder where these animals acquire them, what purpose they serve, if they're important, and why. But I'm also kind of a freak that way, so... um. Anyway. I love this. I love the original anyu, but I think something like this will give greater dimension to Subeta's world.<br />
...On the other hand, these're all just pixels anyway, and I'm just a weirdo with nothing better to do than make stuff up to explain them. o_o<br />
Oh, and the only critical thing I have to say is that I miss the colored muzzle. It was cute. :3<br />

Many people are Criticizing the bit of "Fluff" that this pet has in this re-draw. I have to say, I enjoy it. It gives it a bit of personality. Most wild bears do have this extra reserve of skin around their neck area, so they can store up the fat if they need so. When it's not giving the bear a "neck-less" look, it come up in little folds.<br />
