I love the new redraw^^ But I have to say guys that you shouldnt post pics of bears in zoos...they shed more than bears in the wild so they dont look as shaggy.^^
See. Funny thing is, I saw that post. Notice the key words, and you'll see while i'm fighting everyone on this. ;3 "The new one is this SIZE because it's MEANT to be more LIKE a real polar bear." Note that if he would have said "The new one is this size because it is supposed to be a real polar bear." or even "..because it's supposed to look like a polar bear", I wouldnt be here right now. He simply said that The size was similar to a real polar bear, which is true. polar bears are not skinny, nor are they slender.

Oh wow I love it so much! I really didn't like the old anyu, it looked disturbingly as though it were dying of malnutrition. This one is absolute love! Need more pet spaces, for sure, I want one!

Seriously, it's not a polar bear. It's an anyu. And I like that it's a bit chubby, fluffy and... well, I never was too found of the first anyu so maybe that's why, but I think having the wings on bracelets are a huge improvment than rather how it was before.

Well the art's a bit better on the new one and a more anatomically correct, but there are a lot of things bugging me about it. <br /><br />The feet. I know this has been mentioned over and over again, but I too will mention it. They just look too small. Even if polar bears have small feet blah blah blah, they still <i>look</i> too small and dainty. They don't need to be huge like the current anyu's, but perhaps they should be more prominent. Honestly, I think a bear with those proportions would either fall over or have a hard time walking from not having enough support.<br /><br />The cuffs. Huh? I like jewelry on the pets, but when you replace some of the creature's anatomy with jewelry, it's just wrong. The anyu wants it's attached wings back xD If the cuffs <i>must</i> stay, than they need to be fixed or something. They're too tight on the anyu, to me, it looks like the sides of the cuffs weren't even lined individually, like only one straight line was used from the top of the bangle to the curve of the paw. Basically, like a fur marking would look. Also, the cuffs are too straight horizontally. Since cuffs are round, they curve a little. <br /><br />The neck fluff; the current anyu does not have neck fluff, and neither do polar bears. Neck fluff is fine for rabbits, but it looks out of place here. <br /><br />As for the tail, I can understand that maybe one may not be visible due to perspective, but I feel a little tip should be a bit visible. Not only that, it looks a bit empty without one.<br /><br />Ok, well those are my [hopefully constructive] critiques.

The paws seem just a tad bit small, and I don't quite like the look of the fur around the neck. Butotherwise it looks great, and its a huge improvement on the old one. Good work, whoever drew it. I adore the bracelets and the markings around the eyes.

Ahhhh, and for all you folks insisting that the remake is 'too fat' (and there's a lot of you, after scrolling through the comments). Since when have polar bears (or any bears) been skinny animals? Girth is a survival technique for polar animals. Making it skinnier means it's more appealing to human beauty standards, yes. But more likely to freeze to death in it's natural habitat C;

Herm. I like the new one a lot. Personally, I think it's only beef is the snout and mouth. It's like, pointing down too much, if you know what I mean, and it just doesn't look right. <br />
I like everything else about it though! The old design looked too much like a Chai for my liking. =P<br />

The only thing besides things already mentioned that bothers me is, infact, the bracelets. They look out of place, and I would like to maybe see an intricate design like that on the fur itself, and also still have the paw wings still actually come out of the Anyu. If that makes sense...<br />

I love the art, I think its colored very well. I just think he looks a tad chubby, but other than that, it looks great!
Okay, this is a brilliant design. My only qualm- those paws would not be able to support the weight of the Anyu itself. Add in some sturdier paws, and I know exactly what I'm turning Voros into. This is probably my favourite revamp I've seen this far.

But LooneyLupeGirL, my anyu isn't lying in that position. The tummy is staying as is, I will be changing the feet, but there will be no addition of a tail. I honestly don't see why you posted the picture of the polar bears behind to illustrate my anyus lack of tail - if my anyu were sitting like that polar bear, you would see its tail. Looking back at the two of them side by side, the style of the present Anyu just looks so much better and less generic than the new one. I still think the linework is weird, and it doesn't compliment the shading technique nearly as well as the old one did. Not to mention the thinner linework makes it look badly traced from the paper version - it's unnatural-looking.

I also really like how you can tell that the wings are on anklets, rather than wondering about them as in the previous version, which merely has a brown stripe. (Although, perhaps the designs should be the same on both the front and back legs? This may just be a preference, though...)<br />

I actually really, really like this remake. For those wondering where the tail is, here's my take- Anyone know about that magical term called "perspective?" Bears dont have long tails naturally, and at the 3/4 perspective the tail shouldn't be showing at all, considering how short bear tails are. Just.. Use your imagination? <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> I like how it looks more.. I dunno. Polar-bearish, but not too much so, as Anyu are their own breed of creature. Almost reminds me of a mix between a grizzly and a polar bear. I don't think it's overweight, I think people on here are paranoid about chubby pets. an underweight bear would be a scary sight. 0_o I also personally don't think it looks too girly; markings are markings. Would a tiger look any less masculine if it had spots instead of stripes? Anyways. I do have one little thing that's bugging me.. Just how the back and front shackles don't match. The back ones seem.. awkward and out of place. Anyus always reminded me of this ancient arctic bear, but the hind shackles seem sorta greek to me? I dunno. The jagged lines just seem a bit much considering the swirly, flowing look of the Anyu. Snuggles it I'd want one of these now. Nice work, artists. Consider what I said about the shackles. ;3

- The montre has a tail cuff. That is not a marking in the fur. It is a decorative object. I would say the same here. I like the two different designs, but I do see how that could bug the, uh, control types (?).<br />

I love this one, but I do agree paws need to be a little bigger and it needs a tail other than that i love it!
