Dueling for dances!
Oh heavens - have you seen Boudewijn around? He\'s in a dreadful mood, and cutting in on everyone\'s dances! I\'ve heard that if people refuse to let him cut in then he challenges them to a duel! What a sourpuss.
At least he\'s giving away bags of trinkets if he loses. Paying his shame away! You can\'t really expect to have a good time at the Masquerade Ball if you\'re nothing but rude and pushy, I say!
It certainly would put a smile on my face to see people beating him. It\'s certainly achievement worthy! To be quite honest, people deserve one for even trying. So watch out for Boudewijn!

:/ Random events suck. Dancing for hours, checking the ballroom every time, and nothing. Couldn't have made it a task, or whatever. Battle challenger even.
Dang it, this happened after I already had three duels with him, and now he won't show up T^T
Literally MY FIRST DANCE after this announcement and he shows up. I also kicked ass and got all his trinkets, go me!

I am also having the issue with clicking the challenge option and getting "Oh No! User not found: [npc] Gossip Boudewijn hasn't asked you to dance!" This has happened three times, one of those times I actually got to the pick a weapon part, when I clicked the weapon, I got the error message again.
'bummer! After hours of dancing, I finally got the event and "Oh No! User not found: [npc] Gossip Boudewijn hasn't asked you to dance!"

The sword weapons used for this news post are very misleading and disappointing.

I too thought he would be a battle challenger. Though I guess I will have to make a joke about that in my next Tumblr guide. A douche like him probably would have been a ridiculously easy challenger anyway.
So I got the event and lost to him ... is that it can you only get one chance or is it very rare he shows up that you'll get him another time?
Came home and went through a ton of events and no challenge :( I saw this once when it went out too early but had no idea what it was so I accepted. I hope he shows up again
Didn't get anything for a while, now I got challenged 4 times in 50 or so dances and I won every single time. I'm relieved I got the event, but...I can't seem to lose, help! :P
Guess if I need to fight...I should feed my pet? Odds are my baby not gonna be strong enough...she never is.

If you keep going to the dance floor after every dance (both asking and accepting), you'll eventually see a pop-up with a message about Boudewijn cutting in. Select the red "no" option and it'll take you to the duel screen. Just keep clicking on one of the swords until it tells you you've won or lost.

So how do we get this? Is it a random event when we invite someone to dance or do we have to go to the dance floor.
so I challenged to a duel and get nothing but a blank page. with only the sidebar, tabs and site info..nothing with the duel game
Fortunately I'm in the habit of always going to the dance floor both when I ask and I've been asked. Now let's see if he tries to cut in.
Seems like it's broken, hopefully it can be fixed before Masq is over. I just need to remember to actually VISIT the dance floor.
I got the RE but then after denying him, it took me to a page that said he hadn't asked me to dance? Am i doing something wrong?
