Channel 5 News Update! - A Spirited Journey

The master spirit lays defeated, with the final blow dealt by Emrys, and the curse of Kiyo’s Sorrow is beginning to lift, thanks to the brave battlers and crafters that took up this monumental challenge, however something unexpected has happened! It seems that with the spirit gone, not only has the sudden inclement weather cleared, but a new land has been revealed in the South Seas. We now go to our Channel 5 Field Reporting, live on site:
“Er yes, hello Titania. I’ve made it to the emerald hills of the new land and have spoken to some of the locals. They say the land is called Shengui Guo, a land of spirits and the otherworldly, and that is has been shrouded by spirit energy for some time.
No one has come and gone from this isolated island nation for centuries, the streets and markets are almost bare, but the mood among the few locals I spoke to is celebratory. Perhaps, with time, the markets will fill again with the chatter of vendors and crowds.â€
You heard it here first: the threat of rampaging spirits has come to an end, and a new land has been revealed. What mysteries and adventures await in this new land? Only time will tell.
(You decide to visit Connor for possibly the last time.)

I agree with the people who are saying they hope the plot isn't over! It does seem a bit anticlimactic, but ah well. It was nice to have a special summer plot, so I am definitely grateful no matter what! I will say that I really wanted to fight Tashiin and didn't have enough time before the big boss came out. It would have been nice to have another couple of days with the smaller challengers. I won against Tashiin once, but then it got difficult. Tonight I was going to take the time to read up on strategy and try again -- likely I could have gotten to five wins. Otherwise, I've really enjoyed everything else about this plot! I did get a chance to fight the big boss, and I did some weapon making at other times. I'm satisfied that I did what I could even though I travelled over the weekend. Looking forward to the prizes!
Basically Emrys is a beast. Lol but seriously, congrats!
Also, I'm really pumped for that new island. The art is gorgeous and I can't wait til we can explore it! That aside, I was really confused to see that the Carnival has been removed from the map, but then I remembered that it can still be accessed through Delphi. Makes sense to me that it was removed.

I can't believe I missed all the battling. Gosh darn it--I didn't think I was away for that long, even!

Sadly I wasn't able to participate in the last bit of the plot. I was thrown from a horse and have been recovering over the weekend.

Although, it's great to have the color returned to our avatars my main complaint is that there really wasn't enough time to battle the smaller opponents this time around. We only had what- a handful of hours before Kiyo (the big boss) was released & maybe not even 2-3 full days to battle the smaller ones. As somebody who works full time and doesn't always have access to reliable internet this is highly disappointing. I would've liked to have a little more time to battle the smaller opponents before having to jump into the boss battle. I literally only had maybe 1-2 hours to battle all three of them before Kiyo was released!
However, the new land is exciting! I was actually expecting something like this to happen at the end of the plot, due to the way the spirit cloud was covering the map.

Also wondering if maybe we will unlock the Greyscale skin/layer? I mean I wouldn't want it for an extended period of time again, like we just had, but I'd like to revisit it sometime in the future I think

Thanks for this enjoyable event/plot/distraction. It was fun. I hope that the games are going to stick around and be put with the rest of the games!

I didn't get to finish the plot D: This is what happened when you can't be on Subeta a whole lot...and might only participate in the plot once per week. Yep...shouldn't have tried for all the game achievements at once. DX I hope more is revealed about Shengui Guo though, I'm excited to see a new land be revealed!

Question-- I never got to battle, was gone all weekend. Will this affect my score? I did participate throughout the plot and completed all the tasks and played the games...ect. I just didn't get to battle is all.
Last year's morostide plot was just absolutely boner killing at the end
WEIRD MACHINE THAT SUMMONS SPIRITS MALFUCTIONS AND IN THE END you just fix it and nothing happens and no one dies not even a measly underworld rift opens or anything and everything goes back to normal. The end. Ughh

But...but why did we go grey? What of Kiyo? Is that for the next news post? Please say we won't have to wait until Morostide to find out!
