Cure To Immature Virus Strains
Are you unhappy with your disease? Perhaps you’re not a fan of our more fungi-friendly diseases of this year or the aquatic delights of last year. I’ve found a way to remove your immature virus strain, all for the lowly cost of 1,000,000 sP! What is an immature virus strain? It’s the stages of your virus where you aren’t able to bite anyone! So you have some time to decide if you want to keep your strain or not, just don’t wait too long of course.
You have until February 29th at 11:59 pm to sign up for a strain through my Volunteer Infection Program. Don’t worry if you still have a strain in progress when I close the program for the year, you’ll still work your way to a full-fledged zombie!
Note: If you happened to get a new virus after your first one turned into an unlockable skin in your wardrobe without signing up for another one, please file a ticket!

Does this not work for the Vial infections? I drank a Stinging Vial when it said it wouldn't remove my zombie effects, but I guess that didn't extend to preventing me from getting a new infection, and I really want to get rid of it so I can get Blood Rush. Am I still stuck with this for however long it takes to clear up? Is there ANY other cure for the Vial infections? This makes me sad, as I was really hoping to get another skin this year.
in light of the frustration of how long the viruses are taking to form, could you extend the survival by at least 4 days? I really loved this time of year until now. It seemes like there's hardly any support or response to the extreme wait times of certain viruses; this wasn't an occurrence last year which makes this year all that disappointing.

You do get infected after awhile with no bites, but it can take 3+ days which in my opinion is too long.

after so long if not bitten we should be able to just get infected. Been waiting over a day now for dolly dreadful

for older viruses, you need to find someone who has that virus to bite you. If you can't find anyone to bite you, you'll progress in 3-4 days. go to the survival forums and post on this thread to have someone bite you. You may wanna scan through the forum and see if anyone has your virus and ping them to your post so they are aware there's someone who needs bitten :)

....still not showing signs of naughty nip and its been sixteen plus hrs since I signed up the second time after the first few hr plus wait didn't work? I'm at least 1mill later and no idea if its something I'm doing wrong or a glitch. Surely the high volume of traffic would have been sorted through by now? Hopefully soon..
How long is the time for an infection specialist at the moment? I paid for another virus at least 24 hours now and haven't received any notification at all. I'm hoping to be able to pull out another few skins from this event.

Maybe this is posted somewhere but I can't find it. So if I give the Hustler 25K do I get the strain I chose right away or does he give me a random 2016 virus?
Agree with Babygirl, seems like it's taking forever for this glowing virus to get to stage 8. C'mon already, I want to try for a 2nd one before this ends.

@gitto I think I only had time to get 2-3 skins last year, 3 seems to be a good number anyway.
So I have bright bit right now, and it's not at full stage yet so it's not unlocked.. if I switch to another one at this point will I lose the chance to unlock Bright Bit?

@Kulo @Country Kulo I think your very near the end of yours, see if its unlocked in your wardrobe by clicking the skins tab, it should be the first one,if its there, then you can choose any other one you've also got there.
The same goes for you @Country just go to your wardrobe, click the skins tab and choose a different one, or theres a blue 'here' to change back to normal skin. dont forget if it says bite under your avie in the forums anyone can bite you

Can I make the suggestion that the incubation period/ symptomatic presentation/ prodromal phase of the viruses should be shorter than it currently is? If each virus takes approx 4-5 days to develop into a new unlockable skin for the wardrobe, and survival is 2 weeks long, this means people at most are only going to be able to unlock 3 new skins a year; given that there are between 4-6 new viruses released each year, it's going to be impossible for people to play catch up and obtain all of the skins, unless a new way to unlock said skins is released.
We need an option to speed up our disease lol, we have a cure and a way around everything else. ;)
Feh, if you get deliberately bit with some horrible disease (and we've seen some really horrible ones in years past so it takes a certain willfulness to ignore this) you should expect it to not instantly or easily be treatable. I think 1 million is waaaaay to cheap for a sudden magical cure. Health is valuable, and you should be cautious with yours. Bring back the five million price.
I can't tell since I'm stage 7 into bubblejelly but I think that the cure is a link on the VIP page, and not an item. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just trying to be helpful here. xD)

I'd just made a suggestion to @Rasputina about somehow making it so that people couldn't get the same strain twice in a Survival event, since unlocking the same skin twice is just silly, right before I accidentally passed out when I only meant to lay down for a few minutes, and I wake up to this. You guys are amazing! <3
Was completely repulsed by blood rush and had to hide my ha..I must be too close to it being finished to heal ( I couldnt find any links/places to pay to remove it). Wardrobe says the skin isnt unlocked yet... GAH !! I just want this thing gone !!!

Wish they had this feature last year when I got stuck with Deathworms at the last possible second. Eugh. Kudos to them bringing this out, though!
i was worried there for a bit about my virus, but i'm liking it and i'll see it through... just hopefully i'll be able to get another one before the times up; nice of the staff to do this (especially with some of the virus' progression ugh)

I can't see where to buy it.. someone said the top of the VIP page but I don't see anything and tried three browsers. Will it only show if you are partially infected?
Okay so if I cancelled my strain and asked to be bitten will I be able to receive the bite? Because it says no biting in the forum I'm confused. Sorry double posting in a row.
I'd just like my naughty nip to show up eventually if I even chose the right category I got confused. Hope I did paid 500k for it lol
I thought the biting achievement had been retired because despite biting a lot last year and as much as possible today my achievement still says 0 for spreading my disease to other users. Or I just have really bad luck.

I have no idea if i have another one besides lobster face, since it's the only one that I see on my avatar, but when Doom Bloom turned into a skin earlier today visiting the page told me I would be paired with an infection specialist before I even chose my new strain, and after i was fully infected with Lobster Face, i got two notifications, though I only see Lobster face on my Avatar atm, is that something I should worry about and file a ticket for or since i only see the strain i paid for, i wasnt affected / it was just a display issue? idk :x

@girlikecupcake There are people who are open to a lot of viruses, but don't want certain ones (like 'everything but blood rush') who are then getting what they didn't want because of biters. It is a risk to do that, but still... the price seems a little high for that kind of thing. Or even if people had picked blood rush before it was released fully (which is a moot point now, but for next year and such). I just feel like having it be the same price as 2009 zombies seems a bit much.

@Lexx who is getting bitten against their will? You have to sign up in order to get bitten, and those who were in the gap that just got fixed can file a ticket to get sorted out.

@Quo See that was exactly what I was thinking. Like, it's cool that we now have a way to remove it but when people are just going around biting whoever they can for the achievement and not taking into consideration what that person actually wants as a virus, this is a pretty crappy option. I didn't pick it and now I have to pay to get it removed and pay again for the one I want? That not sitting well with me.

@quo you're not supposed to get bitten unless you've volunteered for a strain. So you should be fine since they fixed the issue, and the news post does say to file a ticket if you're one of those affected.

While I approve of this idea, I do not approve of the price. People who were infected against their will are dropping that much to undo it? Not cool man. Not cool. :I Especially when the older viruses are the same prices to GET one as it remove a newer viruses. Seems off to me.
