Black Friday Sale Annoucement
Our annual Black Friday sale in the Cash Shop will start on November 20th this year and last through the month. You'll have from November 20th through November 30th at 11:59pm to load up on sale goodies! We'll be bringing back lots of old items and debuting some brand new ones! The old items will be retired again after the sale.
As per usual, we will not price match items purchased before the Black Friday sale. Don't mistakenly buy something before the sale expecting to be refunded the difference!
Custom Wearables will be discounted 25% off of their listed price! We are also implementing a small change to the way commissions work during sales. In most cases, the CW creator will still get the same commission they would normally get, but if an item is priced where the commission would be larger than the amount paid for the item, the CW creator will only receive the amount paid for the item instead. This is so a base 500 CSC item cannot be priced at 10k CSC, giving a commission of 9500 CSC with only 7500 CSC paid for it, for example. In that case, the CW owner would only receive the full 7500 CSC payment instead. The CW Pawn Shop will also be open during Black Friday!
As we've mentioned previous years, these are no longer included in the Black Friday sale: pet slots, pet name changes, username changes, and pet overlays. As per usual, monthly collections, weapons, and CS challengers will not be discounted.
The Cash Shop will be retiring the following items at the conclusion of the sale, so make sure to grab any you may need:
Stylish Dresses, Wreath Making Kits, Romantic Postcard, Wrapped Wine Gift, Romantic Menu, Sweet Swirl Pastry, Gunslinger Jackets, Wool Dogtooth Skirts, Three Panel Satellite, Radar Mapping Satellite, Deep Space Satellite, Planetary Mobile, Exploration Rover, Cosmic Dust Analyzing Satellite, Two Panel Satellite, and Adorable Fiends.
The following Boutique sets will be retired at the end of the sale as well:
Delish Scor, Pio, Sagi, and Tarius.

Will costume trunk items be discounted? I can't remember how it was last year, but it doesn't say that they won't be so I'm assuming they will.

If you submit CWs BY the 18th, they'll be ready for the sale (baring any denials of course). Anything submitted past this, no guarantees! I hope that helps @Tartelette etc
@Tartelette not totally sure but i think if you submit by the 17-18th it will likely be approved by the 20th because Jessi is absolutely demolishing the CW queue atm :o

Excitement!! Does anyone know when the last day to submit new CWs to have them ready in time for the Black Friday sale is? I'm feverishly working, but I thought I'd have a few more days.

I used to find a mostly empty pawn shop all the years before when it had reduced items at midnight.

@Cassandra I imagine pawn shop will work like that except more anon like ffffs who bought the ______ I was just about to buy but my internet crashed??? or dammit why is there nothing I want left?? 8| Otherwise there's been no set limits in the recent past (or past, I haven't been here forever orz). I just want to know why aren't weapons discount. I know you guys tend to have a reason of doing things. So, knowledge is power. I just want to know to be more powerful... muahaha! j.k

Is this the sort of thing where you have to stalk the shop for things you want and then have to get in fist fights with other shoppers (like what you see the americans do on TV) to get what you need? Do items release in stages with limits on how many available? I'm a Black Friday virgin in need of a fair bit of stuff so I'd really like to know what I'm in for. :P

@Quest The Vortex hasn't always been in there, though. And there was a specific incident where it was accidentally discounted when brought back one year when it shouldn't have been discounted. Just because those things have been in there this past year doesn't mean they've always been in there. :) All I have to say on the prices is just wait until the first post of the Sale. We have a lot planned this year in general for Black Friday. :)
